Eye Candy Überblick
Eye Candy erzeugt realistische Effekte, die sich mit Photoshop allein nur schwer oder gar nicht erzielen lassen, wie beispielsweise „Feuer“, „Chrom“ und den neuen Effekt „Blitz“. Effekte wie „Tierfell“, „Rauch“ und „Reptilienhaut“ werden bis ins kleinste Detail gerendert – bis hin zu einzelnen Haaren, wirbelnden Rauchschwaden und glänzenden Schuppen.
Eye Candy hilft Ihnen dabei, Looks schnell zu erkunden und zu gestalten. In Eye Candy 7 werden Effekte über leicht erkennbare Symbole statt über Textmenüs ausgewählt. Voreinstellungen lassen sich durch einfaches Darüberfahren mit der Maus schnell in der Vorschau anzeigen. Das Motto lautet: weniger Klicken und mehr visuelles Stöbern.

I have just installed the trail version of eye candy. This was a terrible mistake. Now after hours of frustration i have decided to delete all creative cloud applications due to me not being able to access any of the Adobe creative cloud programs after installing. I am seriously thinking about suing them. This is absolutely irresponsible, me as a customer was not warned about this in any way. I don’t know why the download made this happen. I highly recommend anyone considering to download this to be warned. Do not download. This may fuck up years of hard work...

Expensive but good. Especially nice to have the Lightning back! Also work (as far as a quick test) in 10.6.8. Now I will upgrade my Xenofex!

I like plug-ins from Alien Skin.
They work very good and stable.
Unfortunately, the price is high.

Question: Why is lightning being described as "new" in the above description? I find this a bit deceptive, because all Alien Skin has really down is REINTRODUCE Lightning, Electrify and Little Fluffy Clouds from their old Xenofex plugin, due to user interest in these old -- but still useful -- effects.
Aside from the above issue, even though I have been using Eye Candy since at least version 4, in an email discussion I held with an Alien Skin employee two years ago, they still required that I pay a $100.00 upgrade fee.
The greed of some of these software developers appalls me. They suck us for money for upgrades year after year, when what they should REALLY be doing is EXPANDING their user base in order to increase their profits, instead of milking their established users over and over again.
BTW, yes, I am also on the "Forget you, Adobe!" bandwagon with regards to their new subscription model. I have invested piles of money into Adobe Photoshop since version 5 -- no, not CS5, but 5.0. I am sick of their greed, and I refuse to bow to their latest demands.
Sorry for going off on a tangent, but I just had to vent. :)
Anyway, while a few of the Alien Skin filters are nice, there are a lot of them which I don't even use, because they are so amateurish, and/or don't fit into my design schemes.
