A Bunch of Us: Hurston Fanfic

On Monday September 17, the Greene Space in Soho is having a solo performance piece that's an AU of Zora Neale Hurston's "Their Eyes Were Watching God" from the POV of Tea Cake, the original protagonist's love interest. Followed by a panel discussion about men's experience of reading the novel. I once read an article in a film mag about childbirth in movies, noting that yet another "get me plenty of clean sheets and hot water!" scene resulted in "the birth of another much-needed boy."
