1) Thought the flu was done at work but last night we got 2 new cases.Im suprised I havent caught it.

2)Made Better than Sex cake yesterday. It truly was. I should post it at food_voyeur but I already made an entry about cake! Oh well... still think I will.

3) Parents coming over to lunch this afternoon. No idea what Im going to make.

4) Anybody know of a program that will record what's goingon your computer screen? I want to make a tutorial vid. :\

Meh, was going to get so much done today but tragedy struck :( My uncle who works on roofs was at a job in Wisconsin today and fell off the roof. He's paralyzed from the neck down and things don't look good. :( They are going to do surgery tonight from what I heard but things dont look good. If he survives his life is going to be completely changed. Was so pissed, his son, my cousin who doesnt really get along with him was going around calling the family saying "Oh I dont feel either way. I could care less that he might die" I chewed him out saying it doesnt matter how much you and your father didnt get along he is still your father and respect that. Sorry for all the "woe is me" entries lately just need to vent this out or I might explode.

Im so angry I could spit. How could they make such a ridiculous movie about the town that I come from. Yes I grew up in New Ulm Minnesota. We do not live in a tundra, I dont have a stupid accent like that. If they did they're research they would know New Ulm is a wonderful little town with a low crime rate, thriving businesses and great schools. We are not hicks.... I am boycotting this movie. Granted its suppose to be a feel good movie but we dont need big Miami lady to save us. BAH HUMBUG

Well I had an interesting night to say the least. I onlyworked half a shift cause I had been planning going out with some fellow nurses to this bar for bingo. We had fun for the first hour or so until this guy started bugging me. He was pretty wasted for a Monday night :x ... It was ok for awhile until he insisted I gave him my number. I told him in so many words I wasnt interested and he completely flipped out on me. Thankfully I managed to sneek out when I was up at the bar getting another drink so *crosses fingers* he didnt follow me home or anything.

Was in the post office again arguing about shipping overseas. I want to send a small Christmas gift to my friends over there but the post office is just being difficult. They seem to think I have a terror network or something ... yeah, Heike and Nadia are my contacts.

I think Ive managed to get around sending my stuff to Heike (it's being delivered via england but I wont say what it is!) but Nadia Im havent a bit more difficulty :/ I'll figure it out though! Im determined.

Yep, its snowing here in good old Minnesota! Right now its just a nice snowfall but I guess we are suppose to get a snow storm later tonight but that's ok! I don't have anywhere to go today. I had the kids all weekend and they were mostly good but damn they can wear a person out. Little Kailey was at my door at 5 am this morning yelling my name because she wanted to show me her baby doll. I guess its good to know I'm loved.

I'm so excited because I found out last night that the state hospital (where they house some of the US's worst sexual predators) are hiring and the wage there is double what I make at my current job. Granted, you have to deal with the sickos of the world but it would be nice to have a job with a better income plus it' a state job and they have the best benefits. I might apply but I know the hiring process is really long so I know Ill be working at least through the winter at both jobs.

My parents are buying me a new bed for Christmas. I'm excited, the box springs are coming through the bed I have now but that means my parents have to go into my bedroom and my mother is always so damn nosey when she is in there. It's like I am 23 years old, been out of the house since I was 18 and have never in my adult life asked for money (how many young adults can say that?) I think I am entitled to my privacy and my own life. My mother just thinks I should be the carbon copy of her.

At COS Im ready to clobber a first year in the head with a two by four. I suppose its my own damn fault but he's been owling me and we've been talking about this and that for awhile. Nothing big or anything but yesterday he went mega weird on me. First he insulted my taste in music, he thinks I should be listening to techno and trance. No thank you. Then I ignored him for most of the day until this morning he owls me and asks for a picture because I quote "u sound cute wen u r angrey" I told him no saying its not my policy to post pictures of myself to people half way around world. I wasnt mean about it just matter of fact. Then he hits me back with an owl saying he just wanted a friend and yada yada yada its hard when youre muslim and people think youre a terrorist on the COS forums.... I said that was the most rediculous thing I every heard and maybe he should find someone else to talk to because I really dont have the patience to put up with a whiner. Then after that he owled "loloz, u sound realy cute"

I blocked the moron *go me!* Hopefuly Ill never hear from him again

I was almost tempted to resurrect cosbeloved because he was annoying me so bad :D

Rant about work

Grr! Im so damn angry I could spit! I went in this morning for AM med pass and have to be back at 2pm at the nursing home (its my weekend there) anyway, we had a resident who passed away right when I first got there. She's a 400lb woman so I went in to help the aids wash and prepare the body for the funeral home and I see that her bed is SOAKING wet. She basically died from filling up with fluid and in an effort her body in the past few weeks started weeping from the legs to get rid of some of the fluid. We've been rewrapping them every two hours in an effot to keep them dry. I asked the aide if the overnight nurse had rewrapped them at all durning the night and she said no the nurse didnt go down to this residents room the whole night even though she knew she was dying! This nurse didnt give the morphine that was ordered or anything and the aide complained that the nurse didnt give her they to oxygen room. So this poor lady died in a sopping wet bed, not able to breath because of no O2 and in excrutiating pain. I went to talk to the Director of Nursing and she was furious about it too and called this other nurse in to talk(aka rip her a new you know what). When this nurse came out of the DONs office I was busy so I didnt see her but according to one of the housekeeping aides she took her key and ripped a hole in my leather jacket! I didnt see it so I dont want to report it nor do I want to drag this mess on any further but Im fuming!

Other than that the only new thing is that my brother actually folded laundry today, mark in on your calender! Its an epic day! (and of course he hasnt let me forget it all day either :p )

I personally dont trust either as a valid news source. Stewart has a left wing bias and Colbert has admitted that the person we see on television is just a character not to be taken seriously. If anyone does, scary! I myself am a conservative midwest women so I dont really get into either of them but I do enjoy watching Colbert once in a while. The redicilous right wing boob humor is refreshing and keeps me in check. If I ever start talking like him in serious real life conversations then I know I've gone a little too far.
