XVII International Workshop on
COMPLEX SYSTEMS

9-13 March, 2026

Andalo (Trento)

The XVII International Workshop on Complex Systems will take place in Andalo (Trento, Italy), from 9th to 13th March 2026.

Started in 1981, the International Workshop on Complex Systems series aims at being a meeting point for the broad community working in this field. The workshop is interdisciplinary and emphasizes new results obtained by experimentalists, theoreticians, and computational scientists on:

  • glasses & glass transition;
  • liquids & water;
  • soft matter, colloids & colloidal glasses;
  • biological matter;
  • instrumentations, simulations & new experimental techniques.

Venue

The workshop will be in Andalo, a beautiful village on the Paganella plateau, about 30 km far from Trento and in the heart of the mountains of Trentino. Andalo is part of the Adamello-Brenta natural park. Ski-lift facilities lead visitors up to Cima Paganella (2125 m) to explore Alpine meadows and huts and are connected to Andalo’s ski runs

The workshop will take place at the Palacongressi Andalo. All participants will have dinner together at hotel La Bussola. For the more adventurous, a special dinner will be organized on the evening of Tuesday, 10 March, at Rifugio Dosson, a traditional lodge on the ski slopes. Ascent and descent will be by Paganella cable car (optional, €60, cable car ticket included).
