The E³UDRES² Alliance unites 9 higher education institutions and is part of the European Universities Initiative launched by the European Commission, indicating excellence in the field of higher education.

A combination of unique, scientific universities and universities of applied sciences is at the core of E³UDRES². All partnering institutions are ambitious, flexible, small or medium-sized universities and located in a small or medium-sized European city. While being strongly anchored in their surrounding environments, the E³UDRES² institutions never lose track of international trends and are well-connected within the European Higher Education Area.

Have you ever wondered what the numbers in E³UDRES² mean? E³UDRES² is an acronym for Engaged and Entrepreneurial European (3xE = E³) University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable (2xS = S²) Regions. Sounds more complicated than it really is - if you say E³UDRES² out loud, you would just say it as "EUDRES" (sounds like you-dress), without any numbers involved.
