The original ETIS was founded in 1976, while developing through the years into a group of companies, able to address all Engineering needs. The ETIS Companies are 51% black owned of which 47.5% is black women owned thus resulting in a level 2, B-BBEE certification with a high-level overview of the different companies being presented hereafter.

ETIS Group

ETIS GROUP specialises in the manufacturing, servicing, sales and repairs of overhead cranes, hoists, portable lifting equipment and attachments with experience in:

  • Nuclear environment
  • Petrochemical environment
  • Coal Power Stations
  • Hydro-electrical Power Stations
  • Harbour Ship-to-shore container handling
  • Smelters
The above include Local and International customers.

In addition, ETIS GROUP has successfully completed Mining Processing Plants – Local and International.

ETIS GROUP is based in Emalahleni, Johannesburg, and Cape Town. It is registered with the Department of Labour as a Lifting Machinery Entity (LME030). The company currently has 10 crane technicians, 6 of whom are registered with ECSA as Lifting Machinery Inspectors (LMI).

Our companies specialise in the manufacturing, servicing, maintenance, load testing and sales of overhead cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment. We proudly offer a 24-hour service, 365 days a year.

We have the in-house infrastructure to support all Crane and Engineering related disciplines. Our two workshop facilities are fully serviced by overhead cranes and contain the necessary machinery and equipment to perform the engineering disciplines that we offer, namely: Electrical, Mechanical, Fabrication, Machining, Rigging and General Engineering services.

Further available resources within the company include:
  • Over R4.5 million in crane spares stockholding in Emalahleni.
  • Vehicle fleet: 10 x 1Ton service vehicles, a 16Ton truck, and a 4Ton truck.
  • Over 150 Tons of Certified Steel Block Test Weights for Load Testing.
