Secondary Roads Facility

The Pottawattamie County Secondary Roads Facility consolidates multiple county operations into a modern, centralized campus that enhances efficiency, collaboration, and community engagement. The campus includes two primary structures, the Engineer Office Building and the Fleet Maintenance & Testing Facility. Both buildings are served by a geothermal heating and cooling system and high-performance building envelope, which significantly reduce energy consumption and operational costs.

In recognition of its exceptional energy performance, the project received the 2025 Excellence in Energy Efficient Design Award, achieving 62% annual energy savings compared to the Commercial New Construction (CNC) program baseline.
