A variety of testing methodologies were used. With a solid set of results yielded from the tests, ETH SD and FOAM are teaming up for an event to commemorate the initialization of the Trust Zone.

What’s Being Built
1. ChatGPT Plugins
As OpenAI began to rollout plugin access to ChatGPT subscribers last week, it was only a matter of time before devs began shipping. Among the numerous plugins floating around Twitter and elsewhere, ETH SD Founder gmchad.eth and Members Cloud and Xiu built smol-plugin, allowing for rapid and easy plugin creation.
Dive into the repo here: https://github.com/gmchad/smol-plugin.
2. More Ordinals: Dogecoin, Litecoin, & Monero
After the launch of Bitcoin Ordinals in January spawning Bitcoin NFTs, the desire to bring NFTs to places they had not previously existed is spreading. As Litecoin is a fork of Bitcoin, and Dogecoin’s code is a fork of Litecoin, this progression makes sense.
Ordinals on Monero however, referred to as Mordinals, have had a more reserved reception in comparison.
3. Ethereum Hackathon: ETHDam
Held every May in Amsterdam, ETHDam is a conference and hackathon for DeFi and privacy-focused builders. This year, Tornado Cash Developer Alex Pertsev attended after being released under house arrest following his 2022 arrest.
There’s something special about attended and building at Ethereum hackathons across the world. Get out there and build, SD!
Last Week in Crypto
1. Ledger Recover Service Elicits Widespread Privacy Concerns
Crypto wallet manufacturer, Ledger, faced backlash for its new "Ledger Recover" feature, which stores users' encrypted seed phrases with third-party custodians, raising concerns about privacy and security. Ledger's CEO, Pascal Gauthier, defended the feature arguing it's what future customers want and is key to bringing hundreds of millions into crypto.
Critics argue that sharing an encrypted key with third parties and requiring government-issued ID to use the service contradicts the principle of privacy inherent to crypto. Despite criticism and referencing past security breaches, Gauthier insisted the recovery feature was secure and a necessary evolution, adding that it hasn't been hacked and there are "no backdoors installed."
2. SCOTUS Twitter Precedent Supports Ripple
Ripple's Chief Legal Officer, Stuart Alderoty, recently expressed optimism in light of a U.S. Supreme Court decision that aligns with Ripple's interpretation of Howey principles, suggesting the Court might apply the "Howey Test" to accommodate emerging tech like cryptocurrencies. Alderoty believes that an "investment contract" should require a post-sale rights contract for the buyer and obligations for the seller.
This sentiment comes amid a wave of optimism within the Ripple community, following a series of legal victories. In a separate development, Judge Analisa Torres granted Ripple and the SEC's request to extend the filing deadline for Hinman's speech and related documents to June 13.
3. Tornado Governance Hijacked
Crypto mixer Tornado Cash's token, TORN, dropped over 30% following an attack where a malicious actor hijacked its governance to steal over 480,000 tokens from its vault. The attacker sold 379,000 tokens for around $680,000 in ETH and still holds 97,700 TORN tokens. Despite controlling the protocol's governance and potentially withdrawing locked tokens and draining the governance contract, the attacker can't drain individual pools, maintaining user security.
The TORN token has plummeted to $4.69, reducing the crypto token's market cap to under $10 million. While exchanges like Binance have temporarily halted TORN deposits, others like Huobi and Poloniex continue to keep deposits and withdrawals active.
