David’s great-grandmother Judith was born in Thor, Humboldt County, Iowa. Judith’s father, Carl Anton Berg, was born in Skanevik, Etne kommune, Hordaland fylke, Norway, to a Swedish father and a Norwegian mother. Judith’s mother, Caroline Dorothy Opheim\/Ophiem, was the daughter of Norwegian parents.<\/p>\n

David’s paternal grandmother was Marjorie Beulah\/Bulah Knutson (the daughter of Arthur\/Art Knutson and Stella Melissa Lindsay). Marjorie was born in Green Valley, Minnesota. Arthur was born in Minnesota, the son of Joseph Knutson and Olava Gilbertson\/Gelberlson. Stella was born in Fairview Township, Lyon County, Minnesota.<\/p>\n
