DJ’s paternal grandfather was Paul Edwin Ashba (the son of William Leonidas Ashba and Edith May Lowther). William was the son of Andrew B. Ashba and Addie M. Loy. Edith was the daughter of Walter William Lowther and Minnie Lovina Pantle, whose parents were German.<\/p>\n

DJ’s paternal grandmother was Meredith Eileen Herr (the daughter of Amos Levi Herr and Marguerite D. Moore). Amos was the son of Jesse Brandenbuger Herr and Cora Belle Stevens. Marguerite was the daughter of John Doxey Moore and Kathryn Ann Corcoran, whose own parents were Irish.<\/p>\n

DJ’s maternal grandfather was\u00a0Paul J. Hoffman (the son of Paul Hoffman and Emma Slagel). Paul was born in Renaucourt, France, the son of Jacob Hoffmann and Christina Schmidt. Emma was the daughter of Samuel Slagel, whose parents were Swiss-German, and of Maria Demler, who was German.<\/p>\n

DJ’s maternal grandmother was\u00a0Dorothy L. Maurer (the daughter of Alphia Maurer and Clara Anna Heinold). Alphia was the son of John Maurer, whose parents were Swiss-German, and of Mary Haas, who was German. Clara was the daughter of John Edwin Heinold, whose parents were German, and of Anna M.
