Danny Trejo is an American actor. He is famous for playing a bad guy in various Hollywood films.<\/p>\n

Danny is the son of Delores Theresa Rivera and Dionisio “Dan” Trejo. He was raised mostly by his father. He grew up roaming the streets of L.A., where he eventually became interested in boxing. A drug addiction and a prison sentence dashed any chances of him taking boxing up professionally.<\/p>\n

Danny is of Mexican descent. His father was born in San Antonio, Texas. He has five children, including two with his former wife Debbie Shreve. He is a cousin, to some degree, of filmmaker Robert Rodriguez<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A DNA test whose results were displayed on the show Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr.<\/em> (2023) stated that Danny’s genetic ancestry is:<\/p>\n

Genovevo was the son of Jos\u00e9 Dionicio Trejo Perales and Mar\u00eda Ygnacia C\u00f3rdoba Velasquez. Gabriela was the daughter of Dionicio Torres and Paula Loera.<\/p>\n

Danny’s paternal grandmother was Felicitas “Isabel” Garay Banda (the daughter of Cirilo Garay and Mar\u00eda Dolores Banda). Isabel was Mexican. Cirilo was born in Cedral, San Luis Potos\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Danny’s maternal grandfather was named Aniceto C. Rivera Cerna. Aniceto was born in Chihuahua, Mexico.<\/p>\n

Danny’s maternal grandmother was Josefa “Josie” Garcia Ruiz (the daughter of Jos\u00e9 Lucas Garcia Lucero and Mar\u00eda Ruiz). Josefa was born in San Jos\u00e9 del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Jose was the son of Jos\u00e9 Rito Ruiz Peralta and Margarita. Mar\u00eda was the daughter of Jes\u00fas Castro Lucero.<\/p>\n
