Taboo is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and DJ. He is a member of hip hop group Black Eyed Peas. Other members of the group have been\/are apl.de.ap<\/a>, Fergie<\/a>, and will.i.am<\/a>. His acting roles include the films Be Cool<\/em>, Dirty<\/em> (2005), Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li<\/em>, What to Expect When You’re Expecting<\/em>, Jamsey Boy<\/em>, and Blue’s Big City Adventure<\/em>, and the show Dora<\/em>. He has written for Marvel Comics. He is also known as Taboo Nawasha, Bobby Green Toes, and Jim Louis Angryfoot.<\/p>\n

His parents, Aurora Ann Sifuentes and Jimmy J. G\u00f3mez, are of Mexican [Spanish and Indigenous] descent. Taboo’s great-grandmother, Luisa Gonz\u00e1lez Silva, has some African roots. Taboo has said that he has some Shoshone Native American ancestry. The Shoshone tribe was originally located in the states Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado.<\/p>\n

Taboo is married to Jaymie Dizon. He has a son from a previous relationship; and two children with Jaymie.<\/p>\n

Taboo’s maternal grandfather was Luis Gonzalez Sifuentes, Jr. (the son of Luis Sifuentes Ordaz and Luisa Gonz\u00e1lez Silva). Taboo’s grandfather Luis was born in California. Taboo’s great-grandfather Luis was born in Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Jos\u00e9 Leandro Sifuentes D\u00edaz and Florencia Hordas G\u00f3mez, also known as Mar\u00eda Florencia Ordaz G\u00f3mez. Taboo’s great-grandmother Luisa was born in Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Mart\u00edn Gonz\u00e1lez Reyes, also known as Jos\u00e9 Gonz\u00e1lez Reyes, and of Consuelo Silva Medina.<\/p>\n

Taboo’s maternal grandmother was Clarita Acosta (also known as Aurora Calistro Acosta, the daughter of Enrique Acosta and Augustina Calistro). Clarita was born in Arizona. Enrique was a Mexican immigrant. Augustina was the daughter of Mexican emigrants, Gabriel Calistro Reyes, of Arizpe, Sonora, and Felipa Salvatiera.<\/p>\n
