Akiva Schaffer is an American singer, rapper, musician, actor, comedian, director, producer, and writer. He is a member of comedy group The Lonely Island, along with Andy Samberg<\/a> and Jorma Taccone<\/a>. He has directed the films Hot Rod<\/em>, The Watch<\/em> (2012), and Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers<\/em>, and co-directed, with Taccone, and co-wrote, with Samberg and Taccone, the film Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping<\/em>. He also co-wrote the film Extreme Movie<\/em>. He co-created and wrote for the show The ‘Bu<\/em>; and directed episodes of Saturday Night Live<\/em>, which he also wrote for, Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em>, and I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Akiva is the son of Patricia Schaffer and Gerald Shebar. His parents are both Jewish. The surname Shebar is found among Jews in Poland and Romania.<\/p>\n

Akiva is married to actress\u00a0Liz Cackowski<\/a>, with whom he has two children.<\/p>\n

Akiva’s maternal grandparents\u00a0likely are named Mischa Mark Schaffer and Ruth F. Mischa was born in Russia.<\/p>\n
