John Cho is an American actor and musician. His roles include the American Pie<\/em> films, Better Luck Tomorrow<\/em>, Big Fat Liar<\/em>, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle<\/em>, and its sequels; In Good Company<\/em>, American Dreamz<\/em>, the Star Trek<\/em> franchise, beginning with the 2009 film of the same name; Total Recall<\/em> (2012), Identity Thief<\/em>, That Burning Feeling<\/em>, Grandma<\/em> (2015), Get a Job<\/em>, Columbus<\/em>, Gemini<\/em> (2017), A Happening of Monumental Proportions<\/em>, Searching<\/em>, The Oath<\/em> (2018), The Grudge<\/em> (2020), Over the Moon<\/em>, Wish Dragon<\/em>, Don’t Make Me Go<\/em>, and AfrAId<\/em> (2024); and the shows Charmed<\/em>, Off Centre<\/em>, FlashForward<\/em>, Sleepy Hollow<\/em>, Selfie<\/em>, Difficult People<\/em>, The Exorcist<\/em>, Cowboy Bebop<\/em>, The Afterparty<\/em>, and The Sympathizer<\/em>. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the U.S. in the late 1970s, living mostly in Los Angeles, California; as well as Houston, Texas; Seattle, Washington; and Daly City and Monterey Park, CA. His father was a minister in the Church of Christ, originally from North Korea.
