He has been a member of hip-hop supergroup TGOD Mafia, with Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa, and TM88; duo MihTy, with Jeremih; and hip hop superduo ¥$, with Kanye West.
He is the son of Phyllis and musician Tyrone Griffin, a member of funk band Lakeside, and grew up in South Central Los Angeles. Ty has a daughter. He is a Muslim.
