Scott Moe is a Canadian politician. He has been Premier of Saskatchewan, since February 2, 2018, and Leader of the Saskatchewan Party, from January 27, 2018. He was previously, in SK, Minister of Environment, from June 5, 2014 to May 21, 2015, and again, from August 23, 2016 to August 30, 2017; and Minister of Advanced Education, from May 21, 2015 to August 23, 2016.
Scott was raised on a farm near Shellbrook, Saskatchewan. He is married to Krista, with whom he has two children.
Scott’s paternal grandfather was Albert William Moe (the son of Anders/Andrew Anderson/Moe and Kirstine/Kjestine Arnesdatter). Albert was born in Langham, Saskatchewan, to Norwegian parents. Anders was born in Nes, Akershus, the son of Anders Sørensen and Anne Oline Gulbrandsdatter. Kirstine was born in Grue, Hedmark, the daughter of Arne Arnesen and Berthe Marie Pedersen.
