Sarah Cooper is a Jamaican-born American comedian, YouTuber, actress, and author. Her roles include the show Home Movie: The Princess Bride and the films Summering and Unfrosted.

Sarah is the daughter of Jennifer, who worked in human resources, and Lance Cooper, an electrical engineer. A picture of Sarah’s parents can be seen here. A picture of Sarah’s paternal grandmother can be seen here. When she was three, she moved with her family to the U.S., settling in Rockville, Maryland.

She had stated that her father has some Chinese ancestry, and that her mother has some German ancestry. In her memoir, Foolish: Tales of Assimilation, Determination, and Humiliation, 2023, page 33, Sarah wrote that she took a 23andMe DNA test, and found no Chinese ancestry. Her genetic results included 1% Ashkenazi Jewish. She also stated that her family claims Indian, Dutch, and Irish ancestries, which exist in in Jamaica.
