Samuel is the son of actors Irène Jacob and Jérôme Kircher. His uncle, Francis Jacob, is a musician, and his other two maternal uncles are scientists. His father evidently has roots in Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Grand Est. His mother’s family moved from France to Geneva, Switzerland, when his mother was three. His brother is actor Paul Kircher.
