Ryan’s paternal grandfather was Wallace Albert Hansen (the son of William Hansen and Helga Caroline Hanson). Wallace was born in Barron, Wisconsin. William was the son of Danish emigrants, Christian Mikael Hansen, from Toksværd, and Anna Maria Olson. Helga was a Norwagian emigrant, from Telemark.

Ryan’s paternal grandmother was Mildred Viola Erickson (the daughter of Charles Alfred Erickson and Annie Olson). Mildred was born in Maryfield, Saskatchewan, Canada. Charles was the son of Swedish emigrants, from Göteborg, Alfred Charles Erickson, who was born in Finland, and Augusta Matilda Johnson. Annie was a Swedish immigrant.

Ryan’s maternal grandfather was Wayne Albert McDorman (the son of George Leroy McDorman and Esther Myrtle Gilroy). Wayne was born in Chicago, Illinois, and had deep lines in the U.S. George was the son of Leroy Douglas McDorman and Jeannette Celestine Howell. Esther was the daughter of James Martin Gilroy and Alice McPheron.

Ryan’s maternal grandmother was Mary Claire Krause (the daughter of Bernard Herman Krause and Gladys Lucille Klar). Mary was born in Chicago, Illinois. Bernard was the son of German immigrants, Alfred Herman Krause and Bertha Bahr. Gladys was the daughter of Pearl Everette Klar and Mary Lillian Hamilton, and had deep roots in the U.S., most of them of German origin.
