Peter Cook was an English comedian, actor, satirist, playwright, and screenwriter. A prominent figure in 1960s English comedy, he was a co-write and star of the show Not Only… But Also. His roles also included the films The Wrong Box, Bedazzled (1967), which he wrote; A Dandy in Aspic, Monte Carlo or Bust!, The Bed Sitting Room, The Rise and Rise of Michael Rimmer, which he co-wrote; The Adventures of Barry McKenzie, Find the Lady (1976), The Hound of the Baskervilles (1978), Derek and Clive Get the Horn, Yellowbeard, the latter three of which he co-wrote; Supergirl (1984), Whoops Apocalypse, The Princess Bride, Without a Clue, Getting It Right, and Black Beauty (1994); the shows The Two of Us and The Black Adder; and the made-for-tv movies Alice in Wonderland (1966) and Mr. Jolly Lives Next Door. He often worked with Dudley Moore.
He was the son of Ethel Catherine Margaret (Mayo) and Alexander Edward “Alec” Cook, a colonial civil servant. His father was a political officer, district officer, and later Permanent Secretary of the Eastern Region, in Nigeria; and financial secretary to Gibraltar. Peter was married to Chiew Lin Chong, until his death. He had two children with his former wife Wendy Snowden.
Peter’s paternal grandfather was named Edward Arthur Cook. Edward was a colonial civil servant, who was a traffic manager for the Federated Malay States Railway in Kuala Lumpur.
Peter’s paternal grandmother was Minnie Jane Wreford (the daughter of Thomas Wreford and Ellen Trix). Minnie was born in Thelbridge, Devon. Thomas was born in Morchard Bishop, Devon, the son of George Wreford and Grace Bidgood. Ellen was born in Tiverton, Devon.
Peter’s maternal grandfather was named Charles William Mayo. Charles was born in Plymouth, Devon, and was a solicitor.
Peter’s maternal grandmother was Caroline Ada Lord (the daughter of William Henry Lord and Anne Wheen). Caroline was born in Kirkheaton, Yorkshire. William was born in Halifax, Yorkshire, the son of John Lord and Sarah Calverley. Anne was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, the daughter of James Bloom Wheen and Caroline Carr.

I believe through his mother he had some Irish and Saint Helenain ancestors through Elizabeth stoyle.
I think most of his Saint Helenain ancestors were descendants of white colonists but I believe some could have African, Malagasy and Indian roots and due to not much being known about his father he could have had Malay heritage. I think this should be noted as Possibly other.
