Nancy Kerrigan is an American professional figure skater. She has won several medals in several competitions, including the Winter World University Games (bronze in 1989), the U.S. Figure Skating Championships (bronze in 1991, silver in 1992, gold in 1993), the World Figure Skating Championships (bronze in 1991, silver in 1992), and the Winter Olympic Games (bronze in 1992, silver in 1994). She has since toured and performed with ice skating troupes including Broadway on Ice and Champions on Ice. She has also appeared as a contestant on Season 24 of Dancing With the Stars.

Nancy is the daughter of Brenda and Daniel C. Kerrigan, a welder. She is of mostly Irish descent, mainly from her father’s side, and also has English and German ancestry. Nancy is married to agent Jerry Solomon, with whom she has three children.

Nancy’s paternal grandfather was Clarence Morton Kerrigan (the son of Daniel Henry Kerrigan and Bertha Morton). Clarence was born in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Daniel was born in Woburn, to Irish parents, Daniel Kerrigan and Mary McGuire/Maguire. Bertha was a Canadian emigrant, born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the daughter of William H. Morton and Frances/Fannie Mary Jackson.

Nancy’s paternal grandmother was Ruth H. Madden (the daughter of John James Madden and Margaret Elizabeth Costello). Ruth was born in Boston, Massachusetts. John was born in Watertown, Massachusetts, the son of John J. Madden, who was an Irish emigrant, from County Mayo; and of Roseanna/Rose R. Nash, who was born in Newton, Massachusetts, to Irish parents, from County Armagh. Nancy’s great-grandmother Margaret was born in Boston, also to Irish parents, Lawrence Costello and Margaret Madden.

Nancy’s maternal grandfather was George Clifton Schultz, Sr. (the son of Charles August Schultz and Lucy Wood Clowser). George was born in Somerville, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Nancy’s great-grandfather Charles was born in Cambridge, Middlesex, to German parents, Charles Schultz and Julia Henriette Gruhn. Nancy’s great-grandmother Lucy was born in Cambridge, the daughter of Charles Edward Clowser, who was an English emigrant, born in Ewell, Surrey; and of Amelia Mildred Price, who was born in New York.

Nancy’s maternal grandmother was Mary Frances Taylor (the daughter of Cornelius James Taylor and Bridget Agnes Cole). Mary was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Canadian parents. Cornelius was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the son of John. J Taylor and Mary Catherine Davis, who were from Newfoundland and Labrador. Nancy’s great-grandmother Bridget was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, the daughter of Andrew Cole and Helen O’Neil, whose own mother was an Irish emigrant, from County Wexford.

    Nancy’s paternal grandfather George Clifton Schultz, Sr, I’m guessing this a typo and you meant to put maternal grandfather and why does it say possibly other when it looks like you have her genealogy covered
