Mike Webster was an American professional football player. A center, he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs, of the National Football League (NFL). He was nicknamed “Iron Mike.”
Mike was the son of Betty Ann and William L. Webster. He was raised on a 640-acre potato farm, near Harshaw, Wisconsin. He had five children with his former wife Pamela.
Mike’s paternal grandfather was Elmer E. Webster (the son of William Webster, Jr. and Paulina Jane Rhodes). Elmer was born in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana. William was born in Indiana, the son of William Webster and Alice Eliza Glover.
Mike’s paternal grandmother was Grace Mae/Mary Isley (the daughter of Lewis Martin Isley and Mary Jane Muck). Grace was born in Haw Creek Township, Bartholomew County, Indiana.
