Joel Lefkowitz is an American industrial-organizational (I-O) psychologist. He is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Baruch College of the City University of New York (CUNY). He has written many best-selling books on the history of psychology.
Joel’s paternal grandfather was Louis L. Lefkowitz (the son of Hyman Lefkowitz and Lena Goldberg). Hyman was born in Poland, the son of Mollie and David Lefkowitz.
Joel’s paternal grandmother was Rebecca Lefkoff (the daughter of Charles C. Letkoff and Ida Kaplan). Charles was born in Belarus, the son of Phillip Leftkoff. Ida was the daughter of Aron Lieb Kaplan.
