Jayson Tatum is an American professional basketball player. A small forward and power forward, he plays for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was named the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Most Valuable Player in 2022, won a gold medal with his team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and holds the records for most points scored in an NBA All-Star game and most points scored in a Game 7 of any NBA playoffs series. He is nicknamed “the Anomaly.” He is 6′8″.

Jayson is the son of Brandy Cole and Justin Tatum. His father is a professioal basketball coach and player, who played for Aris Leeuwarden and the St. Louis SkyHawks, and has coached Soldan HS, Christian Brothers College HS, the Illawarra Hawks, and Pelita Jaya. Jayson was raised by his mother. He is also a cousin of professional basketball player Tyronn Lue. Jayson has two children, including one with his partner, British singer and songwriter Ella Mai. He is a Christian.
