Future is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. A prominent rapper of his generation, he is a pioneer of auto-tune melodies in trap, and is also known for his mumble-styled vocals. His songs include “Turn On the Lights,” “Honest,” “Move That Dope,” “I Won,” “Where Ya At,” “Jumpman,” “Low Life,” “Mask Off,” “Life Is Good,” “Wait for U,” “Like That,” and, in a featured role, “Way 2 Sexy.” Future was part of musical collective Dungeon Family. Outkast (André 3000, Big Boi), CeeLo Green, Killer Mike, Janelle Monáe, TLC (Lisa Lopes, Rozonda Thomas/Chilli, and Tionne Watkins), and his cousin Rico Wade were also members of Dungeon Family. He is also known as Meathead, Nayvadius Cash, Future Hendrix, Pluto, and Cae.

He is the son of Stephanie Jester. Future has at least seven children, including a son with Jessica Smith; two children with India J; a son with entrepreneur and influencer Brittni Mealy; a son with his former fiancée, singer, songwriter, and actress Ciara; and a son with model Joie Chavis. Future is a Christian.

Future is sometimes described as being of one quarter Korean descent. It is not clear if this is accurate.
