Emma Bell is an American actress. Her roles include the films The Favor (2006), Gracie, New York City Serenade, Death in Love, Frozen (2010), Elektra Luxx, Hatchet II, Final Destination 5, Life Inside Out, See You in Valhalla, A Quiet Passion, Different Flowers, Plus One (2019), and The Argument (2020); and the series The Bedford Diaries, The Walking Dead, Dallas, Relationship Status, and Flip the Script.
She is the daughter of Tessa Horan, a producer for 60 Minutes, and Rob Bell, a reporter, videographer, writer, and producer, who owns video production company Green Birdie Productions. She is the sister of musician Chase Bell. Emma was raised in the Flemington and Stanton sections of Readington Township, New Jersey. She is married to actor Camron Robertson, with whom she has two children.
Emma’s paternal grandfather was Ensign Charles Robert Bell (the son of Harry Pierce Bell and Jeanne D. Klein). Charles was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Harry was the son of Harry Ramsey Bell, who had deep American roots; and of Mary Ellen Callan, whose father, and maternal grandparents, were Irish. Emma’s great-grandmother Jeanne’s parents were from Pennsylvania.
Emma’s paternal grandmother was Elise Emma Stone (the daughter of Lieutenant Mead Wilmer Stone and Lillie Charlotte Seemann/Seamann). Elise was born in Detroit, Michigan. Mead co-owned the George Malvese and Company of Garden City Park, in Long Island. He was the son of Medad Elisha Stone and Emma Sterling Bones, and had deep lines in the U.S. Lillie was the daughter of Frederick Carl Seemann, who was born in Zürich, Switzerland, to German parents; and of Elise Charlotte Garbe, whose parents were German emigrants, from Lower Saxony.
Emma’s maternal grandfather was Harold Howard Eugene Horan (the son of Eugene Francis Horan and Sarah Elizabeth Bain). Harold was born in Houston, Texas. Emma’s great-grandfather Eugene was the son of Francis Thomas Horan, whose father, and maternal grandparents, were Irish; and of Mary Lucille Whelihan, whose father was Irish, and whose maternal grandparents were English. Emma’s great-grandmother Sarah was the daughter of James Oliver Bain and Bertha “Bettie” Holloway, and had deep American roots.
Emma’s maternal grandmother was Bonnie Jean McLeroy (the daughter of Charles Edward McLeroy and Johnnie Esther Brunson). Bonnie was born in Dayton, Texas, and had deep roots in the U.S. Charles was the son of John Henry McLeroy and Lucretia Loula Gary. Johnnie was the daughter of Joshua Soles Brunson and Sarah Esther Sheffield.
