Ellis Genge is a British professional rugby union player. A prop, he plays for Premiership Rugby club Bristol Bears, and the England national team. He was previously with Bristol Bears and Leicester Tigers, and British & Irish Lions.

Ellis maternal grandfather’s surname is Grady. He is said to be African-American. An article by Daily Mail wrote that Ellis “recently looked into his family tree and discovered that his adopted grandfather has native American and black Caribbean roots,” with Ellis adding, “My grandad was a war baby. I’m one-eighth red Indian.” Ellis has also speculated that he is related to American boxer Muhammad Ali through their Grady lines.
