Drew Brees is an American professional football player, and coach. A quarterback, he played for the San Diego Chargers and the New Orleans Saints, for a total of twenty seasons of the National Football League (NFL). He was interim assistant coach at Purdue. He was voted Super Bowl MVP for Super Bowl XLIV (2010).

Drew is the son of attorneys, Mina Ruth and Eugene Wilson Brees II. Drew is married to Brittany Dudchenko, with whom he has four children. He is a Christian.

Drew’s paternal grandfather was Eugene Wilson Brees (the son of Perry Samuel Brees and Maude Mae Doyle). Eugene was born in Richmond, Wayne, Indiana. Perry was born in Adrian, Lenawee, Michigan, the son of Abram/Abraham Bennett Brees and Harriet Wilson. Maude was born in Washington Court House, Fayette, Ohio, the daughter of Frank/Franklin Augustus Doyle and Delila Coil/Coyle.
