David Jonsson

Ethnicity: Nigerian, Sierra Leonean, Creole Caribbean, Swedish

David Jonsson is a British actor and writer. He has starred in the films Rye Lane, Alien: Romulus, Bonhoeffer (2024), and The Long Walk, and on television’s Deep State, Industry, and Murder Is Easy. He is also known as David Jonsson-Fray.

His father was an IT engineer and his mother worked for the Metropolitan Police. He was raised in Custom House, in the East London Docklands.

He has said:

My family are mixed, we’re like Creole and I have family from Africa and the Caribbean and Sweden – hence the name.

And also added:

My family’s Nigerian and Sierra Leone Creole… Culture was everything growing up. My Grandad was a barrister, extremely well educated, he always dressed in immaculate suits and was about the same age as Luke when he first sailed to England. His story and what he and my grandma went through is amazing… I took a lot of inspiration from him.

    BTW, only tangentically related, but I was under the impression that you had to upload sources with these profiles. But that is apparently not the case? If not, I have quite a few profiles in mind to upload. lol
