Wieliczka and Krakow were always in Poland; in fact, it’s the most historic part of Poland, and Krakow was also the capital of Poland for centuries! So it wasn’t Austria or Hungary. These lands were just occupied by the Austro-Hungarian monarchy for 123 years after the Partitions of Poland, but it was always Poland. Same as Russia occupied parts of Poland back then.
What’s more, Kamianets-Podilskyi was Poland as well before WWII.
So, when you really look into the details, it becomes clear that the entire part of the family on the side of Corenswet’s father comes from Poland. If you start to read these profiles here, almost all entertainers on this site have roots in Poland on one side of the family, and many have both sides with roots in Poland. It’s quite amazing!
cute
