Dan Schneider is an American actor, and television producer and screenwriter. He starred on the show Head of the Class, and created the shows Guys Like Us, The Amanda Show, which he also directed for; Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious, Sam & Cat, Game Shakers, The Adventures of Kid Danger, and the iCarly reboot; and co-created the shows What I Like About You, Henry Danger, and Danger Force. He wrote for the shows All That and Kenan & Kel, as well as wrote for all of his shows except for Guys Like Us, Danger Force, and the iCarly reboot. He was a producer or executive producer on all of the above but the latter two.

Dan is the son of Carol and Harry Schneider. His father was born in Tennessee. His mother was born in Rhode Island. His parents were both Jewish. Dan is married to entrepreneur Lisa Lillien.

Dan’s paternal grandfather was Joseph Schneider (the son of Harry Schneider and Sarah Finegold). Joseph was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to parents from Russia.

Dan’s paternal grandmother was Rose Fineberg (the daughter of Maurice/Morris Isaac Fineberg and Yetta/Jennie G. Menis). Rose was born in Russia. Maurice was the son of Louis Scheinberg and Esther Leah Zelmanovsky. Yetta was the daughter of Berel Menes, who was from Gordno, and of Bessie Banschik.

Dan’s maternal grandfather was Herman Aisenberg (the son of Samuel Aisenberg and Rebecca Shulman). Herman was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, to parents from Russia.

Dan’s maternal grandmother was Olga Schneider (the daughter of Jacob Schneider and Mollie Sonnabend). Olga was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to a father from Russia and a mother from Galicia, Austria. Jacob was the son of Isaac Schneider and Jennie Sacoletzky. Mollie was the daughter of Max Sonnabend and Etta Fast.
