Charlotte Flair is an American professional wrestler and actress. She is known for her work on WWE, where she has performed on the Raw, Smackdown, and NXT brands. She holds the record for the most women’s championship reigns in WWE. Her name represents her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Charlotte is the daughter of Elizabeth and professional wrestler Ric Flair (legal name Richard Morgan Fliehr). Her father was adopted by Kathleen “Kay,” who worked for the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and Richard Reid Fliehr, who worked in obstetrics and gynecology. Her brother, Reid Flair, and half-brother, David Flair, are also professional wrestlers. Her half-sister, Megan, is married to mortgage broker and wrestling promoter Conrad Thompson.

Charlotte’s father is of mostly English descent with some Cajun French, French-Canadian, Scottish, Dutch, Welsh, Irish, and German. Charlotte’s mother is of mostly English descent, with some German, Scottish, and distant French and Swiss-German descent.

Charlotte’s biological paternal grandfather was Luther Thomas Phillips (the son of Louis/Louie Alvin Phillips and Mae/May Gilbert). Luther was born in Phillips, Arkansas. Louis was born in Tennessee, the son of Willam Abe Phillips and Margaret Emma Parker. May was born in Bolivar, Mississiippi, the daughter of Frank L. Gilbert and Fannie Stegall.

Charlotte’s biological paternal grandmother was Olive Demaree (the daughter of David Kimball Demaree and Iva Elizabeth Raines). Olive was born in Phillips, Arkansas. David was born in Big Bend, Louisiana, the son of William P. Demaree and Ida Kimball. Iva was born in Belzoni, Mississippi.

Charlotte’s maternal grandfather was Robert Conrad Harrell (the son of Conrad Harrell and Belle Raker). Robert was born in Florida. Conrad was born in Bainbridge, Georgia, the son of William Conrad Harrell and Eliza Harrell. William and Eliza were first cousins, three times removed. Belle was born in Crawfordville, Florida, the daughter of Ira Belle Raker, whose paternal grandfather was born in Württemberg, Germany; and of Edna L. Allen.

Charlotte’s maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Stairley (the daughter of Beauregard Stairley and Gladys Bratcher). Mary Ann was born in Florida. The name Stairley can be traced to Charlotte’s five-times great-grandfather, Johann Jacob Stierle, who emigrated from Germany to South Carolina in the 1700s.
