Garrett Borns, better known as Børns or BØRNS, is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He released his EP, “A Dream Between,” in 2012, and released his debut studio album, “Dopamine,” in 2015.

Børns was raised in Grand Haven, Michigan.

Børns’ paternal grandfather was Douglas Alan Borns (the son of Arthur E. Borns and Rita W. Manigold). Douglas was born in Muskegon, Michigan. Arthur was born in Muskegon, to German parents, Paul Burns and Anna. Rita was born in Michigan, the daughter of David Franklin Manigold, whose paternal grandparents were from Alsace, France, and whose maternal grandparents were Irish; and of Winfred Martin, whose paternal grandfather was from Ireland, and whose maternal grandfather was from Dorset, England.

Børns’ maternal grandfather was Leonard William Salsbury (the daughter of William L. Salsbury and Lillian Bell Beebe). Leonard was born in Ravenna, Michigan. William was born in Vermont, the son of Peter Salsbury, whose father was born in Ireland; and of Artemisia “Artie” Perry, whose father was born in Weymouth, Dorset, England, and whose maternal grandfather was from Prussia, Germany. Lillian was born in Ravenna, the daughter of Franklin Robert Beebe, whose mother was from Haworth, Yorkshire, England; and of Adelia Adaline Davenport.

Børns’ maternal grandmother was Lorraine Janet Pearo (the daughter of Earl Louis Pearo and Mary Vallier/Valle). Lorraine was born in Muskegon, Michigan. Earl was born on Mackinac Island, Michigan, the son of Antoine Pearo and Josephine Ortago, who herself was born in Texas, to a father from New Mexico and an Irish mother. Børns’ great-grandmother Mary was born in Canada, of French-Canadian heritage, the daughter of Joseph Peter Giroux Vallier, who was from Simcoe, Ontario; and of Agnes Boucher Adoskin.
