Bob Weir was an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He was a member of rock band Grateful Dead, in which he sung and played the rhythm guitar. The band’s members also included Jerry Garcia, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Ron “Pigpen” McKernan. He was also a member of rock bands The Other Ones and The Dead, both with Kreutzmann and Lesh, and Furthur, with Lesh.

Bob was adopted by Eleanor Claire (Cramer), from Switzerland, and Frederic Utter Weir. Frederic was born in Rhode Island, to Frederick Weir and Carrie Hall. Bob’s biological parents were John Louis “Jack” Parber and Phyllis Inskeep. The two were college students at the time.

Bob was married to Natascha Münter, until his death, with whom he had two children. Natascha was the sister of professional stock car racing driver and environmental activist Leilani Münter.

Bob’s biological paternal grandfather was James Victor Benvenuto/Parber (the son of Canio Benvenuto and Filiemina Mecca). James was born in Italy.

Bob’s biological paternal grandmother was Evelyn Charlotte Heinzman/Heinzmann (the daughter of Joseph Heinzman/Heinzmann and Charlotte E. Niemann/Newman). Bob’s grandmother Evelyn was born in New Jersey, to German parents, her father from Kronau, Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, and her mother from Hannover. Joseph was the son of Johann Michael Heinzmann and Maria Eva Leitzbach.

Bob’s biological maternal grandfather was Harry Burt Inskeep (the son of Frank E. Inskeep and Emily A. Hoffmann). Harry was born in Ohio. Frank was the son of Christian W. Inskeep and Annie.

Bob’s biological maternal grandmother was Roxanna/Roxy/Roxie B. Curtis (the daughter of Henry Clifford Curtis and Mary Luella Pinney). Roxanne was born in Ohio. Henry was the son of Henry C. Curtis and Augusta Norton. Mary was the daughter of Delbert Pinney and Emma Hortense Wilcox.
