Billy Barratt is an English actor and musician. His roles include the films Blinded by the Light, Crater (2023), My Spy: The Eternal City, Kraven the Hunter, and Bring Her Back, the made-for-tv movies Sharknado 5: Global Swarming and Responsible Child, and the shows Mr Selfridge, The White Princess, A Christmas Carol, and Invasion.

His mother is singer, actress, and model Carolyn Owlett, who was a member of R&B girl group The 411. His father’s family is from Wales, though they appear to be largely of English ancestry, along with Cornish, Welsh, and Irish. Billy’s paternal grandfather is Welsh singer and songwriter Shakin’ Stevens (born Michael Barratt, the son of Jack W. Barratt and May Marshall). Shakin’ was born in Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales. Jack was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England. May was born in Mountain Ash, Glamorgan, the daughter of Annie Maud Williams.

Billy’s paternal grandmother is Carole Dunn (the daughter of William James Dunn and Eilleen Dorothy Lansley). Carole was born in Glamorgan, Wales, to parents who were also born there. William was the son of Stanley V. Dunn, whose family was from England, including Devon; and of Margaret Price, who had Irish, English, Welsh, and Cornish ancestry. Billy’s great-grandmother Eileen was the daughter of George Harvey Lansley, whose parents were English, from Hampshire and Devon, respectively; and of Gladys May Burrows, whose family was from England, including Devon.

Billy’s maternal grandfather is Adrian C. Owlett (the son of Roland York Owlett and Evelyn May Sebry). Adrian was born in Surrey, England. Ronald was born in Fulford, Yorkshire, the son of Frederick Charles Owlett and Annie Jones, who was from Dwyran, Anglesey, Wales. Evelyn was born in Holborn, London, the daughter of Robert Charles Sebry and Louisa Mary Westley.
