Allison Smith is an American actress, singer, writer, and director. Her roles include the films Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, A Reason to Believe, Switchback (1997), The Stolen Year (1998), Holes (2003), and Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant; the shows Silver Spoons, ABC Weekend Special, Kate & Allie, Hunter, Wolf, Sweet Justice, Party of Five, Deadly Games, Beverly Hills, 90210; Spy Game, Buddy Faro, Wasteland, The West Wing, Providence, Ghost Whisperer, Nip/Tuck, and Will & Grace; and the made-for-tv movies The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: Hollywood Follies, Full Circle (1996), Lying Eyes, Terror Tract, Helter Skelter (2004), and Ordinary Miracles (2005).

She is married to Randy Grimmett.

Allison’s paternal grandfather was Owen Francis “Sonny” Smith (the son of John P. “Jack” Smith and Mary “Dolly” Reilly). Owen was born in New York City. John was the son of Irish immigrants, Michael Smith and Mary Garvan. Mary was also the daughter of Irish immigrants, Owen Reilly and Mary McQuade.

Allison’s paternal grandmother was Rose Lucy Mazzaro (the daughter of Pasquale Mazzaro and Gabriela Janelle Faiella). Rose was born in New York City, to Italian emigrants, from Roccadaspide, Salerno, Campania. Pasquale was the son of Donato Mazzaro and Antonia Giardullo.

Allison’s maternal grandfather was Raymond Jerome Bertholf (the son of Daniel Lester Bertholf and Mary Whelan). Raymond was born in New York City. Daniel was the son of Samuel Bertholf, who had deep roots in the U.S., and was of mostly Dutch descent; and of Mary Ann Hazard, who was an English immigrant. Allison’s great-grandmother Mary was the daughter of Irish parents, Patrick H. Whelan/Whalen and Mary Ellen Uniack.

Allison’s maternal grandmother was Marguerite Evelyn Watson (the daughter of John Watson and Josephine Humphries). Marguerite was born in New York. John was a Scottish emigrant, from Edinburgh, and was the son of Peter Watson. Josephine was the daughter of Irish immigrants, James Humphries and Mary Bridget Murphy.
