Her mother, Amy Collins, was adopted by white American parents, from Goyang, South Korea.

AleXa’s paternal grandfather was Marvin Schneiderman (the son of Harry Schneiderman and Irene Brunstein). Marvin was born in Bronx, New York. Harry was born in Roziu in Russia, or in Lithuania. Irene was Russian Jewish.

Alexa’s paternal grandmother was Anita Cyn Speier (the daughter of Samuel Speier and Gertrude Kaminsky). Anita was born in Bronx. Samuel was born in New York City, to Romanian Jewish parents. Gertrude was born in New York City, to Polish Jewish parents.

Alexa’s adoptive maternal grandfather was Thomas Harland Collins (the son of Bryan Houston Collins and Edith Bernice Lochridge). Thomas was born in Amarillo, Texas.

Alexa’s adoptive maternal grandmother was Peggy Jean Dryden (the daughter of Robert Foy Dryden and Mary Tennessee). Peggy was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
