Her parents are Hindu emigrants, from Junagadh, Gujarat, India. Her parents were physicians. She was raised mostly in Pennsylvania, including in Pittsburgh, Mt. Lebanon, Wexford, and Fox Chapel. Aarti is married to financier Purvesh Mankad, with whom she has a daughter.
