Russell Vought Caught Once Again
Russel Vought, again, found trying to subvert constitutional law
In court on Monday Russell Vought was once again slapped down for his brazen attempts at illegally trying to reduce transparency from the Federal Government.
A legal challenge was filed by the watchdog groups “Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington” and “Protect Democracy”. They want the website brought back that shows the amount of public funds that are being spent, and what they are being used for.
Russell Vought's argument was that it was impeding on presidential power. Give me a break. When Karoline Leavit and Pam Bondi are in front of the cameras saying that this is the most transparent and openly informative administration in history, the hypocrisy is like a tidal wave of bullshit.
Just like Judge Emmett Sullivan from the US District Court said during his partial summary judgment on the case said. “stop violating the law!” and that Vought is relying on a theory that relies on “an extravagant and unsupported theory of presidential power”.
Lastly he stated that “The law is clear,” said Sullivan: “Congress has sweeping authority to require public disclosure of how the Executive Branch is apportioning the funds appropriated by Congress,” and “there is nothing unconstitutional about Congress requiring the Executive Branch to inform the public of how it is apportioning the public’s money. Defendants are therefore required to stop violating the law!”.
As the judge in my own takeaway is that this is a blatant attempt to hide what they are doing with OUR money.
It's like giving your kid the keys to your new car and they refuse to tell you where they are going or who is driving. Or giving someone a loan and they don’t tell you what it’s for.
We all have a right to know where our literal trillions of dollars are going. We should always have access, even if we don’t agree with where it is going. This is part of our right to have our grievances addressed as stated in the first amendment to the constitution.
Vought’s argument was weak. He claimed that it was too much work and that the material could be sensitive. Obviously it’s just another scheme to play keep away with funds we provided to our government to help improve our lives.
Obviously they don’t want to tell us about the further atrocious things that are trying to do. Things like concentration camps and further funding to Trump's gestapo (ICE).
If we were to lose track of how our tax dollars are spent, who knows what else they would have up their sleeve?
I will link the decision by Judge Sullivan here if you would like to give it a look. (60 pgs.)
Love you guys,
Erik

Thank you for exposing Russell Vought. I’ve been trying to do that since February. But Vought has pretty much skated under the radar so far.
Vought is one of the most ideological leaders of this regime. He is an avowed Christian Nationalist and one of the drivers of Project 2025. He wants to dismantle the U.S. infrastructure and rebuild it as a Christian nation. He is as ruthless as Stephen Miller and, as Director of the OMB, he is in charge of the huge U.S. budget. This man does not support the Constitution.
The more we expose this man, the better.
Nah…can’t have transparency. Then, there’d be accountability.
