I am VERY EXCITED about this!! I've not been to an actual fan con since, ugh, I think the FIRST MJ when I was PREGNANT with ava. WEIRD. back then I was also able to do things like get there a day early and stay late and things which...will not be happening on this trip. SIGH.

guys, before one direction and this past june I hadnt written a fic in over two years and didnt have reason to do a fic meme since like, 2006, so. you're getting one now :D

My favorite story of mine this year: probably you're the answer to the question I didn't know I was asking bc even though I don't neccessarily ship liam/zayn this was my third 1d fic but the first one that I felt like I really GOT their voices. it was also the story I was writing when I got really involved in twitter and made some really amazing friends so I have a soft spot for it bc of MEMORIES

My best story: this is so hard. I think writingwise, ugh, maybe And If This is the Only Thing I Want both bc I feel like the writing is decent and that story did EXACTLY what I planned on and what I wanted it to which never happens when 1d is involved lol

Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: I def feel like anyone reading ANY of my fics is amazing but I'm sure people don't read Hoes Over Bros bc they see it's whatever, gen and eleanor and danielle so they skip it but I think parts of that fic are hilarious.

Most fun story: it's all fun and gmaes until someone falls in love. at least the first half of that fic I still think is HILARIOUS. the conversation between liam and louis about Brave and Toy Story is possibly one of my favorite lilo scenes I've written

Most sexy story: Hold Me Down. Definitely.

"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: idk if its WRONG but harry styles/jensen ackles isn't the most common pairing so I guess Hearts Breaking Even? I def think its funny though.

Story with single sexiest moment: lol I would say the scene in Hold Me Down where nick asks harry about if he's ever been spanked but that was actually added by mediaville in beta so I didnt even write it lol? so maybe the conversations w nick and caroline in that fic where caroline is talking about tying harry up with her silk blouses and using a strap on on him. even though they're like, past tense off screen things that happened I think the IDEA of them is insanely sexy

Story with single sweetest moment: every single word of you help me sing my song. it's just - it's wedding fic. HARRY/NICK WEDDINGFIC and I love it and I think its sweet without being cloying and idk. either the proposal or the last scene of them looking at each other all in love in the coat closet are my favorites.

Most unintentionally *telling* story: I hate this question bc I feel like all of my fics are ALWAYS really self indulgent and telling but probably, ugh, idk, probably you help me sing my song again.

Fic that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: I feel like EVERY fic does this? like, every time I write anything about any of them I feel like I know and understand them better? but I think I really liked and learned about the harry and liam dynamic in If I Was Your Boyfriend I'd Never Let You Go. I really love harry and liam in that and it always felt like it could be very real for them.

Hardest story to write: Hold Me Down for sure. I always feel like I'm not that great at writing porn and just really struggled with that fic a lot. if I didnt have such a great beta on it (mediaville!!!) it probably never would have seen the light of day tbh. I had a really hard time w it.

Easiest story to write: hands down it's you help me sing my song. I wrote that whole fic in like, two days. I dont even think I thought about it, it just HAPPENED. apparently I have a lot of feelings about harry and nick getting married :D

This year's theme and the story that demonstrates it most: schmoopy boys falling in love and having a lot of feelings. pretty much every fic I wrote demonstrates it. it's pretty much the motto of all of 1d as a whole.

Anyway, that was fun! I literally have SIXTEEN fics that I want to write this year and in addition to that I really want to try some kind of epic ot5 'them all finding each other' fic, some kind of time-travel or magical realism kind of fic (a fic happening entirely in dreams, all of them having to find the fifth one in another dimension, SOMETHING like that), and some kind of epic harry/louis where they always wind up together in different lifetimes. kind of like the time travelers wife but not. anyway. WE WILL SEE.

guys, so I went to the 1D show last night and I have TOO MANY FEELINGS about it and need to post about them RIGHT AWAY. (warning, there are some AMAZING HUGE pictures behind the cut. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.)

God, I don't even know where to START.

so a while back mediaville got AMAZING seats for us for the show last night and I have been SO EXCITED and flipping out about it for WEEKS now bc, 1D! Harry Styles! IN MY FACE!! how much more awesome can you get, right??

so we made plans to meet up ahead of time and get food and some MUCH NEEDED DRINKS, and wound up having like, an eight person fangirl dinner before the show with M and I, canadiankracka, seedyapartment, girlphenom, harriet_vane who got last minute SURPRISE!! tickets and other people who I dont know if they have ljs! Jess and Stephanie and Mer and it was fun and awesome and we made the little (somewhat more age appropriate girls) at the table behind us show us their light up 1D sign and we drank beer and I was warned of two things: Ed Sheeran is amazing live and Harry Styles is a sex demon and I would never be the same again.

I chose not to believe EITHER of these things and went in WHOLLY unprepared because wow. WOW.

so first, we get into MSG, go down to the floor level and M and I are kind of standing there figuring out which way to go when all of a sudden M is kind of quiet and staring blankly and Im like, uhm, are you ok? and she goes I think thats Eleanor so I turned around and yep, right next to us was Eleanor (who os VERY TALL and has REALLY LONG LEGS and is pretty) and Liam's sister Ruth (who is also VERY CUTE and has very shiny hair) and some other dude who kind of looked like Zayn to me? but it obvs wasnt and then later on I saw pics on twitter of Zayn with a few of his friends and Im pretty sure it was one of those guys that I saw. Anyway they were whisked away up to a suite and M tried to swindle our way up there too BUT ALAS, the dude was not having it. which was fine! we got to our awesome seats and Ed was already on and wow.

WOW.

HE IS REALLY GREAT. He's like, amazing. I dont even know what to say except I was TOTALLY blown away and really GET it now and damn. DAMN. Really amazing.

after he was done we went out and got drinks and then went back to our seats and the show was about to start and just, MY GOD. here's a video I took of the full intro and first song from where I was sitting. (sorry about the whole MINUTE of nothing but screaming in the start. I was worried I was going to miss something and started my video too early, lol

THEY ARE LIKE, RIGHT THERE. RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. I can't even EXPLAIN to you how amazing they were and how HOT they all are and just. ok. like them or not it is AMAZING what they've accomplished and the thing is you can genuinely TELL that they all KNOW that. I cant even count the amount of times I saw Niall wipe his eyes. He WEPT through the entire show. Liam had to shout HELLO MADISON SQUARE GARDEN fifty times because he was just so HAPPY to say it and it was just. they were ALL blown away by it all and it was amazing to see.

this next part is hard for me because I do love them all but deep down I've always been a Harry first kind of girl. I love him the best. Im fine to admit it. but knowing that and then actually SEEING him live, in front of me, that close? I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THE LEVEL OF FEELINGS I HAD.

he's fucking BEAUTIFUL. GORGEOUS. HOT. SMOKING HOT. His FACE and HAIR and SHOULDERS and LEGS and SMILE and HANDS and EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM. and he's a total fucking FLIRT. he REPEATEDLY makes eye contact with people in the audience and winks and waves and jesus fucking christ. I am not ok. I AM NOT OK.

I MIGHT NEVER BE OK AGAIN.

harry tried to slide down the ramp thing at one point and totally almost rolled off the side. HARRY. YOU CANT STAND ON TWO FEET WITHOUT FALLING OVER. PLEASE STOP.

when the twitter question came up what animal would they be and what would their mating call sound like harry says, Oh, I'll go, and his mating call was (in a very serious voice) "Hi. I'm the Real Liam Payne."

at one point in the beginning Liam said "Im going to sound like such a geek but I have to say hello to my mum and dad and sisters who are all here" and he WAVED up at their section. LIAM. STOP IT.

ED CAME OUT FOR HARRY'S LAST VERSE OF LITTLE THINGS AND SAT RIGHT NEXT TO HIM AND THEY LEANED THEIR HEADS TOGETHER AND SANG IT TOGETHER AND AFTER HE STOOD UP AND TIGHTLY HUGGED ALL THE BOYS AND I HAVE TO BE REVIVED WITH SMELLING SALTS.

during Nialls long thank you speech some chick tossed her phone on stage and harry caught it and took his picture doing a thumbs up and then tossed it back to her and I set fire to her with my mind.

also, this was weird. I didnt mention it to M bc it was hard to try and hear things and talk but it was strange, during Niall's speech Harry started staring at the opposite side from where he was standing looking at someone in the audience. idk what he was looking at but after a noticeable stare he went and whispered something to Louis and pointed and they both looked, and then he went and whispered something to Liam and HE looked with Harry and then Harry looked over again and did like, the thing where you touch your necklace and did, I dont want to say the sign of the cross bc I didnt catch it all but he touched his necklace and did some kind of hand thing and then like, kissed his fingers? like when you blow a kiss kind of? idk, it was strange. If anyone sees anything online like that please let me know bc I'm curious as to what was going on.

ANYWAY, the show was great and then they all hugged at the end and I had so many feelings I had to drink bleach on the train bc I didnt think I could go on. here's a video I took of the end of WMYB with them hugging and stuff. you can see the hug pretty decent when they come up onto that stage part right in front of where we were.

in conclusion: I had had mixed feelings about harry and old swifty bc as much as I, idk, respect what shes done and I have some of her stuff I'm not a huge fan of hers, but man, three years ago harry styles was a 15 yr old kid who worked in a bakery and last night he played to a sold out crowd at MSG and then went and banged Taylor Swift after the show, so, nice turnaround on your life, styles. not too shabby.

ugh, lj, today was SO BAD. ugh ugh UGH. I just. first off, I'm all for veterans day of course, but man, coming on the tail end of ava being in school ONE DAY in the entire last TWO WEEKS, having another day off today was really unwelcome.

and I had a MILLION things to do (errands, laundry, emptying the dishwasher, food shopping) and I didnt get home from them all until nearly 4:30 after leaving the house before ELEVEN. that...is TOO MANY HOURS dealing with annoying shit with two kids hanging around your neck.

and when I left the house today I asked my sister (who again, moved in temporarily with us FIVE YEARS AGO IN JANUARY. HI. I LOVE YOU. NOW MOVE OUT) to pick the stuff up from the living room since I'd be coming back late with all the grocery bags and two little kids by myself and she just...didnt do it. so THAT pissed me off.

and I have PMS.

and THEN I unpacked everything and checked twitter and OH MY GOD WHY. WHY WHY WHY. ugh, just, if you're not in 1D fandom you probably wont know this but the guys are here to do the today show the next two mornings and I assume they're near the today show somewhere in the midtown-ish area. so apparently louis and liam took ONE SECURITY DUDE (and andy. FUUUUUUUUUCK YOUUUUUUUUUU ANDY WHY ARE YOU HEEEEEEEEEEEERE) to go to lunch at the TGI FRIDAYS in TIMES SQUARE.

I just. I AM SO IRRATIONALLY PISSED AT THIS. because of COURSE they got mobbed and of COURSE people acted like assholes. NEWSFLASH TO EVERYONE EVERYWHERE: NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE YOU WILL GET SHOVED AROUND IN TIMES SQUARE AND PEOPLE WILL BE ASSHOLES. PEOPLE ARE ASSHOLES IN TIMES SQUARE. it needs to be up to SOMEONE who is in CHARGE of this shit to be like, oh, hey, here's five super famous dudes in the area where fifty thousand screaming crazies have been sleeping outside for FOUR FUCKING DAYS to see them. LETS TAKE THEM FOR A BURGER DOWNTOWN MAYBE.

it was just SO POORLY HANDLED it makes me scream. and again, I have pms and have had a shitty day but I'm SO ANGRY that no one would think of this. its NYC. there are FIFTY FUCKING MILLION places they could have gone where that wouldnt have happened. IT IS JUST SO NEEDLESSLY STUPID.

so I wrote a silly little fic last night! but then I drank so much wine I forgot to post about it here. whoops? anyway, fic!

summary - based on the prompt:

I want fic where Nick has a date. In order to impress said date, he goes out and buys a cookbook and fresh ingredients (even though he can't cook) and spends all day practicing making a meal. So, that night he makes the meal for his date, but the dude stands him up. He's about to crack open the bottle of expensive wine he bought to go with dinner and and drink it all alone, but then Harry texts him and asks him what he's up to. He tells Harry he's just been stood up, tries to make a joke out of it, but twenty minutes later Harry shows up at his door and they eat Nick's food and drink the wine together and it's the best date Nick has ever been stood up for. And then there are makeouts. The end.
