MCE at the forum "Stati Generali del Sociale" promoted by Croce Rossa Italiana, with institutions, the third sector, and the academic world
The MCE Research Centre took part in the "Stati Generali del Sociale", a forum bringing together institutions, the third sector, and the academic world, promoted by the Croce Rossa Italiana - Comitato Regionale Lazio, focusing on issues of marginalization, inclusion, and the creation of real opportunities for autonomy through work. The event took place on March 29, 2026, in Rome.
For the panel on marginalization and empowerment, Prof. Luca Mongelli, Scientific Coordinator of the MCE Research Centre, was invited to contribute. He shared the experience of Ridaje, the start-up that integrates homeless people in Rome by offering them training and employment as urban gardeners, while also restoring neglected public green areas. Ridaje is also one of the four successful business cases analyzed in the volume Empowering the Marginalized: il ruolo delle imprese ibride ad impatto sociale (Giappichelli).
The MCE Centre studies and promotes models capable of combining economic sustainability with concrete social impact, placing the dignity of the person at the center. Moments like these are essential for building generative and inclusive solutions.
