Yay... no bus..no subway..

EriculF (4:09:21 PM): Lessee..this morning I got dragged out of bed. Mom was in panic about transportation. I was shooed to make breakfast. Mom and I went out to find our usual Yum Cha place is going to be opening late. There wasn't much to buy in the stores at 8 am. None of the truckers were able to make it early. Since there's NO bus. OR subway, we find people trying to hitch a ride. People in cars flash the cardboards either english or chinese "Manhattan!" I took the photo of the SIGN with my new sony ericsson phone (the BORANGE one). Mom says I'm poking fun at this. Hey! How often do these happen? Then someone else follow suit and dug for his camera XD;;

Wait I didn't say why my unemployed/bum arse is dragged out of bed. Well, just recently granny was taken to hospital - ICU room. She stopped eating and just slept on for long hours. So today, we meant to visit her again, as planned yesterday. We did really EXPECTED/HOPED there is no MTA strike. Oh well. On this 24 degree morning, my parents, uncle and I walked about an hour there. Then almost an hour back. We did call car service earlier but, the instant the phone connected, the guy on the other line said flatly "NO CAR". Now mom's catching Zs XD; Dad can't get to work like this. It's going to be quite a problem getting home from uptown. This better not last 11 days. Dad works at a szechaun restaurant; Lack of income for that many days is going to hurt. It is christmas a'coming! There were reservations made at the restaurant!

Maybe it's not so bad for anyone in NYC today? Maybe not for the tourists though ^^;;

Not the most christmasy December it seems. Even mom forgot to send christmas card. I'm still snailing over Rikugou's naruto giftart with the radio on my lap. Sorrrrry; I'm slow; .... now how do I submit journal entries???
