Tattoo removal feels different for everyone. Sensitivity varies based on the size of the tattoo, its location, and individual pain tolerance. To help keep clients comfortable, we use ice before and during treatment to help numb the skin and reduce discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as brief and manageable.

Tattoo removal is unpredictable and typically requires between 6 and 12 treatments. The exact number depends on several factors, including the age of the tattoo, the age and health of the client, where the tattoo is located on the body, and the colours used in the ink. Treatments are spaced a minimum of 6 weeks apart. As the tattoo fades, sessions are often spaced further apart to allow the body adequate time to clear the ink.

Laser tattoo removal does not cause scarring when proper settings and techniques are used. However, if a tattoo already has scarring from when it was applied, that scarring may remain. Scarring can also occur if a blister is accidentally popped during the healing process, which is why proper aftercare is important.

Yes. We use the PicoWay laser, which is FDA approved to safely remove tattoos on all skin types. PicoWay is a non-ionizing laser, meaning it does not alter DNA and is not cancer causing. Treatments are performed with safety and skin health as the top priority.

Many black ink tattoos can be fully removed. In some cases, factors such as existing scarring can make complete removal more difficult. Coloured inks may occasionally leave residual pigment that can resemble light bruising once treatments are complete. That said, our goal is always to achieve the maximum level of removal possible, and we work closely with each client to get them as close to full removal as their skin allows.
