BuddyPress to PeepSo Migration Tool is a migrator plugin that moves your data from BuddyPress to PeepSo. It\u2019s super-easy to use, and we\u2019ve now added a ProfileSo plugin. You\u2019ll be able to migrate custom profile fields and user profiles in their entirety.<\/p>\n\n
Just install PeepSo<\/a> and all of the plugins you want to use. Add the Migrator plugin, choose a couple of quick options and click the button. That\u2019s it! The migrator will get to work moving over your data.<\/p>\n\n If you\u2019ve wanted to give PeepSo a try but were afraid you\u2019d lose your BuddyPress content, you\u2019ve nothing to fear. We encourage you to install it and see how it works. Keep in mind, some features are not available on the free version. There are currently three free additional plugins for PeepSo:<\/p>\n\n The following plugins must be installed for the migrator to work.<\/p>\n\n To move all of the possible data you should also install:<\/p>\n\n To operate, open PeepSo Migrate, assign profile fields and click the \u2018Start Migration\u2019 button.<\/p>\n\n That\u2019s all it takes. Your BuddyPress community will move to PeepSo. BuddyPress and PeepSo Migrate will also be disabled. All necessary shortcodes are set in WordPress pages and your community will be ready for use with PeepSo.<\/p>\n\n\n The BuddyPress Migrator is totally free and available from the backend of WordPress. Go to Plugins > Add New, and search for \u2018PeepSo\u2019.\nPlease note that the Migrator only moves the data within the same WordPress installation. You won\u2019t be able to use it to migrate BuddyPress from http:\/\/sampledomain1.com to http:\/\/sampledomain2.com.<\/p><\/dd>\n Because BuddyPress and PeepSo do not share exactly the same sets of features, some of the data on BuddyPress cannot currently be moved.<\/p>\n\n Depending on the BuddyPress components and PeepSo plugins installed, the migrator is able to transfer the following data:<\/p>\n\n As much as we\u2019d love to move all the data stored by every plugin, BuddyPress just has too many. We focused on core BuddyPress and its official extensions. Third party plugins are not supported.<\/p><\/dd>\n The migration time depends on the size of your community and will vary according to:\n* Number of users\n* Number of posts\n* Number of comments\n* Number of messages\n* Number of notifications\n* Number of friend connections<\/p>\n\n The move is also influenced by the speed of the server on which you\u2019re hosting your site.<\/p>\n\n We tested moving a few hundred users with over 15,000 activities on a shared hosting environment. It took about four minutes to migrate everything from BuddyPress to PeepSo.<\/p>\n\n With a community with a 1000+ members, nearly 60,000 activities on a shared hosting environment the whole migration process took about 11 minutes.<\/p><\/dd>\n It\u2019s really simple. You\u2019ll need to install BuddyPress, PeepSo and PeepSo Migrate. Open PeepSo Migrate and click the \u2018Start Migration\u2019 button. That\u2019s it!<\/p>\n\n You can see the process in the Screenshots section.<\/p><\/dd>\n PeepSo Migrate can move a community from BuddyPress to PeepSo but it\u2019s not able to merge a BuddyPress-based community into an existing PeepSo community. During the migration, all PeepSo data is removed and substituted with the data taken from BuddyPress.<\/p><\/dd>\n No. PeepSo Migrate will move a BuddyPress-based community to PeepSo within the same WordPress installation.
