ok. let's update this lj.
you've to understand that for me there are moments of my life in wich I totally forgot even the poor english I barely know. And for me it's somnthing nearly impossible to write in this journal. then just add that I'm working bloody hard at school and I don't find neither the time to wash my hair and you'll understand why I forsaken both my journal... the italian one and the english one (this one).
But in the last days I read for the 12ft time v for vendetta, in english since my italian copy has somewhat found its home in my brother's room, and some fanfictions... so I finally trained my mind and I can write something in here. yeah!
I've started my colouration course. I've been accepted even if I'm still doing the comics course, which it's strange and I still haven't understood why. we're learning how to colour Monster Allergy, wich is a wonderful italian/french comic with a really difficult kind of colouration. Maybe you know Sky doll by Barbucci and Canepa... Canepa is the colourist who made monster allergy and set the quality standard of the comic. really high quality standard and I don't really know if I'll ever be able to. >.< let's hope.

By the way my comic teacher was really amazed by my colouration style and proposed me to colour his comic for france... for editions delcourt. So I'm going to start to work.... hopefully. "Hopefully" just because we sent my first proof to the editors and we're still waiting for a reply. >.<
I'm scared to death and I'm checking emails every 5 minutes since yesterday!

talking about other things.. I've finally bought some wondeful acrylics, and I finally managed how to ink.

guh!
I've just finished an illustration with my teacher who's trying to make a comic with Soleil and requested me for colours. Next week there's Angouleme and he's going to show the sketches an my colourations to the publishers... I don't know if I will be involved in the comic for colours, but there's a really light possibility.
So I'm working even with the flu for this light possibility.

I love that program! I never fully understood it but I do it now and I love it! *heart*

and a marvel girl in coloured pencils.

it's a lot of time I don't show my face here... you've to understand it's been a really full period and I've done some works both for school and for friends. I've been involved in a cellar phone game for MTV italia's site and it's been really hard for me to take the time for everything. Today I've delivered the colour trials to enter the disney colouration course. I'm crossing my fingers. I'd show you the results but they made me sign something and I can publish or redistribute nothing.
So, in these two months I've done really few things for my own...

uh uh uh

ok. while the world has already seen GoF in italy it will be out next friday.
so, I'm not watching friends page because I don't want to read revews and I don't want to see all those icons "I've seen it and I've enjoyed it" "seen it" and stuff... 'cause I'm totally ENVY.
but of course, it's normal. my nick is ENVIElestrange.... XDD

so, I'm not drawing at all. I'm spending all my energy in colouring and trying to be accepted in that course.

and finally, I've found a lovely book called "W.I.T.C.H. origins of a little masterpiece" (in italian of course) where I found the original plates in 4 versions: pencil, inked, with colour suggestions by Barbara Canepa (Sky doll...) and coloured. I've scanned the inked version and then coloured following canepa's suggestions and the final colours they published.

of course this is an expansion set and doesn't work without the original one... you can download it here. just open the original one mc-narci.lzh and then file-->open other-->open expansion and search the mcexnar.lzh file you just downloaded.

Of course to open kiss dolls you've to use a viewer. you can find some at www.otakuworld.com (the big kiss page--> kiss viewers). direct kiss is better but doesn't work on every computer... so use playfkiss.

last week I've done this rodolphus... an excercize n shadows of course.

he's quite handsome. just 'cause my teacher corrected him. XDD
of course, I forgot to erease the pencil! XD

other funny excercize on... guess what?! folds. there was a model in class. (an wonderful model!)

I've inked this, but her face is not this good... I like thi ink but the face is wrong. Maybe I'll colour this again... with a more cartoonish look.

nothing too great to say... (well... I don't usually say great things...) I've just discovered that the colouration course for Monster Allergy is quite expensive... I wonder if I've the time to work sometimes... just to gather the money.

I'm organizing a meeting with all my friends... orgueilestrange, nohiddenbeauty are coming... + other 3 or 4 friends... *__*'''' I don't know where I'll set them... 2 of them are going to stay in bed&breakfast but I've not enough beds for everyone else! It's quite difficult to gather friends around the country.

by the way, going on with world's premier GoF red carpet, Katie Leung and Clemence poesy were stunning. radcliffe was funny, so he was ok. Grint was great as always, I loved pattinson's jacket and bonnie wright.... was... well, the dress was nice, the shoes were nice... all together was horrible. the hair helped to create a wonderful "vintage wannabe but I din't reached the effect so I look like an housewife" effect...

I'm still not doing any improvement with ink. this is a bit disturbing, I've to say.
but finally I'm an university student!! yeaaaah! Now I'm student of "Studi culturali Italiani" that can be roughly translated in "Cultural italian studies" at roman university "La Sapienza".
today I got there to check the lessons and I really felt the difference with the other faculty I attended...
I was enrolled at Architecture in a smll and really new university born about 10 years ago... so all classes where neat and clean... the palace was recently renovated and everything was tidy.
Litterature faculty at La Sapienza is maybe 700 years old. the palace was obviously made in 1930 (I'm the only one who really loves fascist architecture?) and is the Chaos. at least there are about 20 informations points... so I easily found what I had to do and where I had to go...
maybe I'll reach a degree one day! *happy*

by the way. I publish one of my first excercizes with ink and brush....

my university problems are growing and growing more and more each day... but that's not why I'm happy. My teacher said I'm really (but really) good at colouring and suggested me to follow the preparation course to colour Monster Allergy and disney things like that. (Monster Allergy has some problems at the moment but soon they are going to create a new comics I totally forgot the name of. XDD) So, hopefully I'll learn how to colour better! ^o^ I'm so happy! ♥
I'm not hoping I'll colour Monster Allergy or something like that soon, but at least I'll find some minor work.

so... my life continues quite boring apart fighting with university secretaries, making hours of queues and making folds at comics lessons. sunday I'll probably have a pic nic with my friends... I don't know where. The rafting skipped (no! what are you thinking of?! I'm not happy!! I'm sad! really! I was not scared of rafting!!!) for some reason I didn't understood.

yesterday I saw orgueilestrange! She came here in Rome for Manet's exhibition. Which I didn't really liked 'cause there were almost only sketches and Manet wasn't really good in sketches, but there were some oil paintings really astonishing.
We (me and orgueilestrange, not me and Manet's sketches) had even an incident on the bus... there were someone who stolen a wallet to a man... and the man started to cry loud, blocking all the entries and checking 2 passengers near him... and we was just there! >.< 20cm from him! I was quite worried! That man was scary.

yay, I've started to do pics for fanart100, but Iv'e still to finish them.
I'll post a Gabrielle Delacour I've done today. both the colouration and the lineart are really quick but they are not so bad. exept for her head, it's too big.

ETA: I was thinking... I find really really pathetic all those canon addicted people who change the color of hermione's dress in the graphics (icons, wallpaper, etc). my god. just accept it! a colour change won't ever make it better. Especially that dress in particular is HORRIBLE in perwinkle blue, it looks like plastic!!! It's better the pink they choosen even if it's dreadful. What I want to say it's: please, there's no need to make it worst then already is just to make it fitting to canon! >.

today I was bored. and I hadn't the slightest intention to do my homework for tomorrow.
so I've done few vector and finished an old one. and a little sketch on photoshop

just a fleur, I wanted to try out an advice nassima gived me for the silver/gold effect.
I didn't reached the right effect just because I didn't really committed myself...

this image screams "Mary doesn't have nothing to do at all"

this was started to be a narcissa/lucius. but of course I couldn't do a decent lucius so I deleted him!
illustrator of course.

by the way. I joined fanart100 for rodolphus lestrange.
this probably will means phisical and mantal death. or insanity.
I've not started yet to draw just because I've in mind a single style I'd like to follw for all the images. style which will require the use of ink. But i've still to learn how to ink!! so I'll probably start next week or the one after that.
I was thinking to make each image inspirated in orgueilestrange's fanfictions. or with quotes from her fanfiction. just to catch the character. She created a wonderful Rodolphus. I'm really sorry nobody could read her fictions because are still the best fic ever read. in italian of course. and I'm not able to translate them (she has a big vocabulary, uses a lot of difficult words.... ) but I could translate some quotes.... (if someone will help me correcting them... *__*''''' you probably noticed my PERFECT english!)
I'd really love to find someone interested in translating these fanfics. I've tried to write in english one of her oneshots but I've still to finish... >.< (the one I used for this image, talks about rodolphus and bellatrix' wedding day... pure angst of course.)

I'm happy when I post new art.
... I've to do my ink excercizes.... they are becoming obsessive.

I used three photos of Suicides Girls as references... I just dressed them up a bit more... XDD

I used ecoline. I've still to understand how to use them. btw I lost all my good brushes I use for watercolors. I don't know why. I probably used them all together and forgot somewhere... and then the housekeeper put them somewhere...
it had been horrible to paint with these brushes. I can't use for these things the not-exactly-cheap Windsor and Newton series 7 #2 I use to ink so I made all these with 2 brushes: an horrible one #6 wich can't stay up for a single second, and a semi-good cheap syntetic windsor and newton #2... way too little.
a nightmare.

in all this, thanks to blancwene, I finally watched Casanova with David Tennant. Ok I watched only the second and the third episode 'cause YSI deleted the first one. T_T crying.
btw I loved it! in some scenes I was almost suffocating from laughing. I loved he Mini-Jack (How the hell Giacomo becomed Jack?!?!?) an I loved david. he's a great actor, his facial expressions are priceless. (not to mention peter o'toole, he's peter o'toole after all.)
XDD ohmygod the scene in paris with the dog chasing after mini-jack! I almost died from laughing.

the obvious problem is I don't really understand spoken english. So I probably missed a lot of things. in the third episode I missed so many things... °__°'' sometimes I stayed there trying to understand and I catched only talking about sex. Why the hell I understand only talking about sex?! XDD
oh. there was a great moment. I was watching these episodes commenting with beautyinseason everything when her was telling me about some stupid draco/harry she was reading. When there was the scene of the duelling... and Giacomo was talking to the-one-whom-name-I-didn't-understood and there's the big revelation... T__T I was sure he-whom-name-I-really-don't-know was gay and in love with giacomo! I almost cried when I discovered I misunderstood the whole thing.
girls-with-weird-hairdo's husband gay would have been a wonderful stupid thing for such a stupide telefilm! ^o^ unfortunately the third episode is really sad. I was hoping that stupid gags would continue till the end. T_T
talking about her... Enrietta or what else... °_______° please tell me what sort of things she had in hair?!?! she was something totally horrible!

btw, I loved the punk/dark atmosphere and clothing in naples... but there's no smell of sulphur.... *__*''' I've been there. I absolutely swear. orgueilestrange lives there.... air is normal!

I absolutely want to see the first episode.
