Spirit
and
Law "The
law of God is the law of
Spirit, a moral and
spiritual force of
immortal and divine
Mind. The so-called law
of matter is an immoral
force of erring mortal
mind, alias the minds of
mortals."
The
Veil Spread Over All
Nations
"To God no one is ever
dead, for Christian
Science makes it clear
that God, infinite Mind,
sees always His own
reflection, which can
never include
death."
"He
pleased
God" "In
the epistle to the
Hebrews it is said of
Enoch, "Before his
translation he had this
testimony, that he
pleased God." This
pleasing of God is a
question of vast
importance and one which
cannot be considered too
often or too earnestly.
Broken
Leg
Healed "While
returning from my work
one night, I fell from a
bridge and sustained a
serious injury to my
leg."
Abnormal
Growth
Healed
"It is over seventeen
years since I first
heard of Christian
Science. At that time I
was a physical wreck.
There was an abnormal
growth on my breast, for
which an operation was
to be performed, but I
was asked to try
Christian Science . .
."

What
Our Leader
Says
MARY
BAKER EDDY
"Beloved
Christian Scientists,
keep your minds so
filled with Truth and
Love, that sin, disease,
and death cannot enter
them. It is plain that
nothing can be added to
the mind already full.
There is no door through
which evil can enter,
and no space for evil to
fill in a mind filled
with goodness. Good
thoughts are an
impervious armor; clad
therewith you are
completely shielded from
the attacks of error of
every sort. And not only
yourselves are safe, but
all whom your thoughts
rest upon are thereby
benefited.
"
The self-seeking pride
of the evil thinker
injures him when he
would harm others.
Goodness involuntarily
resists evil. The evil
thinker is the proud
talker and doer. The
right thinker abides
under the shadow of the
Almighty. His thoughts
can only reflect peace,
good will towards men,
health, and
holiness."

The
following
Standard
is an exegesis
of the first
four plates in
Christ and
Christmas,
Mary Baker
Eddy's
undeniable
confession of
herself as the
second
appearing in
the flesh of
the Christ,
presented in
Scriptural
texts,
illustrations,
and verses.
"Christ and
Christmas
was an
inspiration
from beginning
to end. The
power of God
and the wisdom
of God was even
more manifest
in it and
guided me more
perceptibly, as
those of my
household can
attest, than
when I wrote
Science and
Health."
(Johnson,

the Christian
Science
Movement,
v.2,
p.448)
In
Volume 4 we
read,
"How do drugs
and hygiene and
animal
magnetism heal?
They don't
heal. It is
only the faith
in them which
brings about a
result
which
they call healing. In
reality they only
exchange a belief in
disease for another
belief called health.
Materia medica
classifies health as the
absence of disease from
the body. Mrs. Eddy
tells us that 'Health is
the consciousness of the
unreality of pain and
disease; or, rather, the
absolute consciousness
of harmony and of
nothing else.' (Rud.
11:13-15)"
"In
this age the
earth will help
the woman; the
spiritual idea
will be
understood."

_____
The
very real, but
unrecognized questions
agitating the world in
this endtime are not
those issues and events
reported in the press.
Rather, they are those
questions relating to
the second coming of
Christ and the place of
Mrs. Eddy in Scriptural
prophecy.
"Health
is not a condition of
matter, but of Mind; nor
can the material senses
bear reliable testimony
on the subject of
health. The Science of
Mind-healing shows it to
be impossible for aught
but Mind to testify
truly or to exhibit the
real status of man.
Therefore the divine
Principle of Science,
reversing the testimony
of the physical senses,
reveals man as
harmoniously existent in
Truth, which is the only
basis of health; and
thus Science denies all
disease, heals the sick,
overthrows false
evidence, and refutes
materialistic
logic."
Mary Baker
Eddy
"Whatever
may be the prevailing
opinion as to the tenets
of her faith and its
lasting benefit to the
great cause of
religion,
none
can deny that Mrs. Eddy was a
remarkable personality, one of
the great characters which stand
out in bold relief in the history
of the nineteenth century in
spiritual affairs."
