Shifts and changes

It is very true that life works in mysterious ways. As today I woke up rather cranky and again beating myself up. Angry for choices made and ones that constantly keep my puzzled.

As my day progressed today Ive had this huge shift happen to me out of the blue. However, it the voice is loud and screaming!

My choices that I made I had been struggling with. Bad, good or indifferent. Feeling defeated has been a constant theme for me for a few weeks now. However, a talk on the phone with a dear sweet friend who holds so much inner balance inside helped me to see this.

That we all make choices and sometimes those choices involve other people and some of the them dont. Choices can end up to seem like the wrong decisions but ultimately are made because that is the path of faith. Everything does happen for a reason and if we listen carefully there will always be a message.

Then another friend reminded me that love is like a comfortable old shoe. You just know it feels good when you slide into it. You dont question it and if it is right there will be no reason to question it. Not that I didnt know this already but was a very good reminder.

Then I guess the one thing about love more than anything opened my eyes today. It was a gift that I received today in the mail. *feeling choked up*

It was two tee shirts and a baseball cap. One teeshirt with cut sleeves from the email fourm we both belong to, and another that just boldy states "BUTCH" ... *griz* and then a black baseball cap that has "Six Feet Under" on from the HBO show.

The significance of this gift is because it was mailed to me from this Butch's wife. This Butch will have passed on one year ago in October. This is one butch that I respected so much and have missed her humor, her intense love for her wife and her gasping awe of intelligence. Their love radiates soulmates.

I'm just going to share this email and when you look at my friend Mic you will know why I respected her so much as you can see it in her smirking butch style and now I have her shirt and ball cap to always remind me to hold your chin up and walk proud. You know whats right and you know what true love looks and feels like.

I should have known you got the package today!

A picture of Mic....attached....wearing one of her Butch shirts, showed up in the slideshow screensaver I have running and really caught my attention. I
knew I would send it to you when you let me know you got the package, and
you send me this note only an hour later! Mic is at work today.

Mic loved Six Feet Under. I clearly saved the cap for you. When we watched Six Feet Under, she would reach for my hand and do the breaking apart move, every time.

Please remember her when you wear it....I know you will. She will be
there with you.
