Grameenphone, Teletalk, edotco sign tower-sharing pact nationwide

Grameenphone, state-run Teletalk and tower company edotco Bangladesh have signed a milestone infrastructure-sharing agreement to strengthen nationwide mobile connectivity, the companies said.

Under the collaboration, edotco will provide tower and related support to both operators, enabling broader coverage, faster rollout and more efficient operations on shared sites, to improve service quality for millions of subscribers.

The agreement was signed by Yasir Azman, chief executive officer of Grameenphone; Nurul Mabud Chowdhury, managing director of Teletalk Bangladesh; and Sunil Isaac, country managing director of edotco Bangladesh. Senior officials from the three organisations attended, including Grameenphone’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Tanvir Mohammad and Chief Business Officer Dr Asif Naimur Rashid; Teletalk Deputy General Manager (Regulatory & Corporate Relations) S. M. Lutful Lahil Majid; and edotco Bangladesh Key Account Manager Kazi Ayon Adnan.

Executives from all three firms said the partnership will accelerate network expansion while keeping customers at the centre of service improvements.

Grameenphone highlighted the benefits of shared towers for reliability and rapid deployment; Teletalk underscored affordable nationwide access as a state operator; and edotco framed the deal as part of its commitment to a resilient, sustainable telecoms ecosystem in Bangladesh.

All three companies share the stated goal of building a more digitally inclusive Bangladesh by expanding robust, high-quality connectivity and digital services across the country.
