As part of the security operations carried out by the Royal Gendarmerie services in Safi to combat crime of all kinds, especially drug trafficking, the judicial center elements of the Regional Command of the Royal Gendarmerie in Safi, under the supervision of the regional commander, were able to arrest one of the most dangerous drug and alcoholic beverage dealers nationwide, as part of a qualitative and precise security operation aimed at putting an end to the activities of a criminal network active in drug and liquor trafficking.
This operation came after investigations and surveillance that lasted for several months, resulting in the arrest of the suspect nicknamed "Weld Al-Bour" in the Sabt Jzoula area in the middle of this day, at a time when he was preparing his prohibited goods for promotion. The detainee is the subject of more than 30 search warrants nationwide, on suspicion of involvement in cases related to drug trafficking and the formation of a dangerous criminal gang.
The search operation carried out by the Gendarmerie services in Sabt Jzoula resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of prohibited materials, including about 50 units of alcoholic beverages. A large "samurai" sword and sums of money suspected of being proceeds from this criminal activity were also seized.
The suspect has been placed under the provisions of custody by order of the competent Public Prosecution, pending a deepening of the investigation to reveal the other potential perpetrators in this criminal network.
