We'll probably switch up our teams a bit in Kanto, but I know that at least Gengar and Crobat are staying with me. My Gloom will be a Vileplume in a little less than 10 levels when she learns Giga Drain. She's pretty bizonkers, taking strong Pokemon out in 1 hit with a Mega Drain... anyway, that's fun.

In other news, I had a root canal yesterday. ...yup. It was 3.5 hours long, and they basically drilled the entire above-gum portion of my molar into oblivion. Luckily, my dentist and his team are amazing, always making sure you are not in pain, explaining whatever you want explained, and reassuring you the whole way. So, it could have been a lot worse. Now, I have a temporary crown for six months, until my insurance will cover a decent portion of the real crown. It's weird as hell and I'm not totally comfortable chewing with it, but at least I didn't wake up last night with tooth pain. At least we saved the tooth itself (which has like inch-long roots - my tooth roots are crazy long, they described the procedure as "difficult" and said "I don't know why your roots are so long!!"). My tooth is a cyborg.

Also, we got back into My Chemical Romance because Aaron is into Dead Mau5 and he did a collaboration with Gerard Way... a lot of their songs are actually way cooler than they seemed in high school when I liked them? I Brought You My Bullets has a ton of zombie songs, so we've been headcanonizing and planning music videos to Supernats and Walking Dead.

In other news, I am full of anxiety and life is tough! I'm not a big fan. But I have a wonderful fiance, an adorable kitty, I'm getting to start planning my wedding, and my ring looks crazy gorgeous in the classroom I'm in right now, so なんとかなるね。I'll manage somehow.

My official statement is that I have no ill will towards any of the participants and feel that it ultimately boiled down to a fight between friends which was tainted by the position of one of those people. Sorry for involving myself. I really hope I haven't exacerbated the problem.

Ok so I finally made a sig for the Harvest Moon forums I have been on for seven years now (and never once used a sig).

I just spent almost an hour and a half looking for a certain entry from 2007. I never found it. I combed through every day, so I know I would have found it if it were there. I must have deleted it. I think I'm glad that I did.

That part of my life is over and everything is wonderful now. You can't go back, you can't change the past. All we can do is look forward.

I just thought I should post to say that my relationship has been so incredibly stellar for the past few months. We did have one big fight recently, which was entirely my fault and I was being crazy, but Aaron has just been so loving and our life is so great together. Part of me doesn't even want to go to Japan because I'm so happy with every day with him. I was even thinking today that I might be happy in a law job here, just making good money and going to Japan on vacations, because my day to day life with Aaron is so wonderful. We have such a good time, me, him and Nobu, that I think with kids it would just be perfect -- it's like, I look back fondly on our past, and now is so wonderful, and the future is going to be even better.

I love him so much. ♥

Not sure how many of you know this, but my favorite game of all time is ボクと魔王 (Okage: Shadow King), a scrappy little PS2 RPG that offers one of the most fun and interesting play experiences I've encountered in my gaming career. I collect the shit out of it, but the merchandise is severely limited: a set of figurines, the guides (English by Prima and Japanese by Famitsu), an OST, and whatever doujin pops up. I'm only missing an alternate release version of one figure, an alternate color of one figure, the Japanese game & demo (haven't felt like purchasing but could any time), the English demo (haven't seen), and doujinshi (which I haven't felt the need to purchase since moooost of it is for a slash pairing that disinterests me).

Now, around 2-3 years ago, an advertisement for the game from an English comic book popped up. I snatched it up immediately. But now, it's all over eBay! Boring. :c I always search for BokuMaou goods, but I never find them.

Until a couple of days ago.

So getting a kitten has been an amazing positive change in my life. I feel a lot better about getting through all the shit I have to do, because he is constantly making me happy and excited and distracting me from all this bullshit.

That said, leaving the house is now double-horrible, because I miss my kitty so much ahhhhh. ;AAAAA;

He's just the best cat ever. He watched TV for the first time and was mesmerized. (Then he tried to pounce on Joseph Gordon-Levitt.) He does not trust soda cans and wants to fight them. Feet under covers are clearly hell-spawned moles who must be pounced. He sleeps on his kitty perch next to my pillow and will climb all over our bed all night. He loves me and Aaron so much, and tries to split up his cuddles with us equally. He gets curious and nervous when we leave the room.

For now, he's spent the whole time in our bedroom ("kitten room" is a thing I guess, you have to leave them in one room at first so they can get used to things or they'll get overwhelmed), but we leave the door open now and he's ventured out into the hallway on his own.

I'm so proud of him. ♥ Our Nobunaga.

What makes Pokemon hang out together?

So Aaron and I are planning to make a bunch of teams so that we'll have the option to PokeBattle for fun! :D

Currently, I'm working on a dark/x team consisting of Sharpedo, Scrafty, Cacturne, Spiritomb, Krookodile and ~~a tentative last spot for either Hydreigon, Tyrranitar or Weaville~~ Hydreigon. Tentatively titled Are You Ready?/Let's Go after Trick Daddy's Let's Go and...I think it might be Are You Ready (Sweaty) by Jay-Z, but I don't know because I don't listen to either of these songs, they were just stuck in my head this morning ;A; I just couldn't stop picturing Scrafty and Krookodile rocking out to it. ;;;

I was initially working on an opposite team for them ("Mirran Crusader" after a Magic card) consisting of valorous, good Pokemon who don't take no shit from nobody (Stoutland, Blissey, and Dragonite were as far as I got) but then I just wasn't really inspired by it. :c

Today, I sent in my (first) full draft of my translation of Kaori Ekuni's It's Not Safe or Suitable to Swim. ♥

After over a year of work, it's finally done.

It's an amazing collection of (very depressing) short stories about the everyday lives of women. If you're interested in some light reading, I would love to send any of you who'll read the file. ♥ I could really use the feedback, particularly from non-Japanese speakers.

I decided to get back into playing Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility. Somehow, I started thinking about playing Harvest Moon: Animal Parade instead, and then I desperately and burningly wanted it. So Aaron was kind enough to let me drag him around to Game Stop, Best Buy and Target, only to find that nobody had it. THEN, he even MORE KINDLY bought it for me on Amazon, and I paid $16 to have it shipped next-day. Yet, lo and behold, the game arrived not six hours later. So I've been playing that a lot ~~and not doing any homework~~ and that's been fucking awesome. This is one of the best HM games I've played in quite some time, encompassing all the best aspects of all the HM games. I'm so happy. ♥

Anyway, it's Valentine's Day, which is (believe it or not) kind of a fun (but mostly expensive) holiday for those of us with long-term relationships. I'm currently sitting in the kitchen, baking Aaron peanut butter chip Heath bar brownies. c: I bought him a fat pack of Mirrodin Besieged (latest Magic: the Gathering set), and hopefully he should be coming home to meeee with candy and a flower or so. We have a reservation at Jamjuli (local Thai place, we got a $25 coupon so it's more convenience than our super-favorite or something) at 7, and two bombers in the fridge. Should be a nice night. ♥

And then tomorrow is my birthday \8D/ I don't know where I want Aaron to take me to dinner, but I do know that I'm eating whatever the fuck I want all day. (Gonna be a fat week, orzorzorz) My mom is throwing me a "surprise" party that I don't really want on Saturday. (Speaking of which, allinia, I don't know if you were invited by my mom or whatever but she is trying to invite you I think? Aaron included you in his list of my friends, so. Yeah. Idek.)

Anyway. It's V-Day, it's my last day being 21, tomorrow I become a big scary adult (or at least no longer barely legal), and I'm going to blow today playing video games instead of doing homework or working on my thesis. ♥
